Orange, blue, and you.Dear University of Florida Supporter,
On behalf of the Gator Club of Miami, I want to reach out to you in the hopes of building a partnership for the benefit of the talented Miami-Dade County high school students heading to the University of Florida.
The mission of the Gator Club of Miami is to foster and enhance the relationship between the University of Florida and its alumni, students, and friends in Miami-Dade County and surrounding areas. Through various programs and communication efforts, we support and encourage the University’s mission of teaching, research, and service. Throughout the year, we are devoted to raising funds for our Scholarship Program, which benefits outstanding local Gators.
With the help of organizations like yours, we were able to award a record $31,000 in scholarship dollars to 23 deserving local students last year. This year, we hope to increase our fundraising success, and thereby donate higher scholarship amounts to more recipients. We want to extend the opportunity to effectuate real change with us and directly sponsor a branded scholarship for a deserving Freshman Gator, titled either individually or through your company. With your support this year, we hope to increase our scholarship donations to $50,000 so that we can extend our awards to even more Freshman Gators.
The University of Florida has proven for years that they are more than just a “Sports School” – U.S. News and World Report has ranked UF no. 9 among Public Universities and no. 42 among all National Universities. We see the incredible caliber of incoming Gator students
through our scholarship application process.We want to both reward those Miami-Dade County students and let them know that there are successful individuals giving them the first propulsion for their ascent to success.
When your organization sponsors a Freshman Gator, you forge a connection with the bright minds of the Gator Nation. We want to show you that, whether it is $500 or $5,000, each dollar will directly benefit each scholarship winner. These awards give them the greater chance to succeed in their academic pursuits without debt after graduation. We are not asking simply for a monetary donation, we are asking for a commitment to invest in a better Miami. Your donation helps these students graduate from college, start a prestigious career, and gives them the drive and capability to then help other hopeful scholars.
We are pleased to offer you this opportunity to support local students pursuing higher education at UF. As a Gator Club of Miami scholarship sponsor, a scholarship will be titled in the name of your organization and you will receive recognition through our e-mail, website, and social media sites. However, our main goal is for your organization to witness the direct benefit of your philanthropy; if desired, you can even participate in the scholarship recipient process.
