Driver Bio
● 2011 Graduate of Grassfield HS in Chesapeake, VA● Full time student at ODU pursuing a degree in
Mechanical Engineering with a minor in motorsports engineering
● Intern at local A&E firm● Crew member on #22 Super Street car driven by
Bill Eaker at Langley Speedway● Ran partial UCAR schedule in 2014 to prepare for
first full season in racing in 2015 (ROTY competitor)
Car and Division Information
● 1997 Chevy Cavalier● Competes in the UCAR division - “U Can Afford
Racing”● Division designed as an entry-way into the racing
world at a lower cost● Engine and suspension modifications limited● Run on Hoosier race tires purchased from track
under a one tire per race rule● Laps Langley Speedway at ~70 MPH average
About Langley Speedway● Langley Speedway is a 4/10th mile paved short
track located in Hampton, VA● Know for being one of the flattest tracks on the
east coast, at only 6° of banking in the corners● Rich history with NASCAR greats such as Richard
Petty, Dale Earnhardt, and Jimmie Johnson racing at the speedway in the past
● Current NASCAR sanctioned track that plays host to 11 weekly racing divisions racing nearly every Saturday April through September
● Approximately 6000 seating capacity● Hosts K&N Pro Series East and Whelen Southern
Modified Tour in addition to weekly divisions
Series Details● NASCAR Whelen All-American Series competes at NASCAR sanctioned “home tracks”
throughout the country● Series is separated into 5 divisions, with Division I generally reserved for dirt or
pavement Late Models● Divisions II – V are decided by each individual track; as of the 2014 season, UCAR is considered
Division IV at Langley Speedway● Drivers compete at the national level against others in their division for a points based
championship, with the top 100 drivers nationwide being recognized and compensated● Many Whelen All-American Series races, including all of those at Langley Speedway, are
streamed live on www.FANSCHOICE.tv● The Whelen All-American Series is the first rung on the NASCAR series ladder
