During the day, three scenes are to be shot on-site with festival crowds and guests as walk-on extra cast members.

INTERACTIVE ART ZONE Lamar Street Festival’s Interactive Zone is an artistic, hands-on and playfully creative destination for all ages and includes storytellers, magicians, puppet shows, jugglers, and Dallas Heritage Village demonstrations. In hon-or of South Side on Lamar’s 100 years, Big Thought’s teaching artists host an area in which to create art and enjoy creative play opportunities like those enjoyed in 1913 as well as today’s iterations of the same games 100 years later. A time machine photo booth with turn of the century costumes also accentuates the Then & Now theme. The Dallas LOVE Project provides an opportunity to make art for the 50th year commemora-tion of John F. Kennedy’s life and legacy. A musical petting zoo featuring orchestra instruments allows kids to “meet” the instruments as well as the musicians who play them. The Dallas Public Library’s Bookmobile opens on site for young readers.
A passionate local artist collective known for dynamic events that often take place in the South Side on Lamar building, ArtLoveMagic showcases its collection of talented personalities and colorful artists working in a variety of mediums. As the sun goes down on the Lamar Street Festival, ArtLoveMagic will transform the area into a live interactive art show for adults.
