ASPEN Corporate Partners:
ASPEN is pleased to announce that September 24-28, 2018 is Malnutrition Awareness Week™ 2018.
Once again, this event is listed on the National Health Observances Calendar and we hope to have a
Senate resolution recognizing this week in 2018.
As you are probably aware, Malnutrition Awareness Week is a multi-organizational, multi-pronged
campaign which strives to:
• Educate healthcare professionals to identify malnutrition and intervene earlier
• Educate consumers/patients to discuss their nutrition status with their healthcare professionals
• Increase awareness of the positive impact nutrition has on patient outcomes
Addressing the issue of malnutrition has always been a focus of ASPEN. Malnutrition Awareness Week
has helped broaden the awareness of malnutrition by driving education well beyond ASPEN members
to many other healthcare professionals, patients, and consumers. This is accomplished by a
combination of educational programs and partnerships with more than 43 organizations that share
the educational opportunities and messages with 1,000,000 plus healthcare professionals, patients,
and caregivers.
We invite you to be a sponsor of Malnutrition Awareness Week. Enclosed is the 2018 sponsorship
opportunities and the schedule of events. We hope you will join this important campaign to
demonstrate your commitment to identifying and treating malnutrition and its costly consequences.
Please contact me at [email protected] to discuss your participation and sponsorship options.
Sincerely,
Invitation
