Wear Ya Wellies is fast becoming one of the most successful
nature based (and muddy) family events in Perth and aims to
provide an opportunity for the entire family to experience
unstructured outdoor play, the messier the better! The event has
been running since 2013, with an attendance of 5,500 in 2018,
numbers that even on a very rainy day, grew by 20% on the 2017
event.
This year the event looks to create a more “weatherproof” layout,
with larger marquees, more showers, bigger change rooms, and
additional indoor activities to keep families at the event and
making memories all day.
With around 65% of the attendees at Wear Ya Wellies travelling
from the metropolitan area, it provides a great promotional
opportunity for community groups and businesses in the region.
But, it couldn’t exist without sponsorship.
Proposed 2019 Wear Ya Wellies Highlights: Bigger and better Mini Mud Run Separate Mud Pit for those under 5 Nature Play Zone, for those not afraid to get creative Market stalls featuring local produce and specialties A variety of food outlets sourcing healthy fresh produce Undercover seating area to share a meal Meet farm animals, reptiles, and native wildlife Live stage acts Kids activity marquee Science Shows

We had the best time. Not sure who had more fun though, these two or us mums. Sharon Marie
My 3 year old boy told me the whole way from our home in Wandi south of the river that he wasn’t going in the mud and getting dirty. This was him 15 mins after arriving! Keesha Yon
