Celebration of Seagrove Potters Festival Overview

November 21, 23, 23, 2008

June, 2008 - Celebration of Seagrove Potters formed by a group of Seagrovepotters

September, 2008 - obtained permit from Town of Seagrove to hold inaugural

Celebration of Seagrove Potters festival at historic Lucks Beans Plant,

Seagrove

September, 2008 - became part of the non-profit association, Seagrove Area

Potters Association (SAPA)November 21, 22, 23, 2008 - inaugural Celebration of Seagrove Potters

pottery festival at historic Lucks Beans Plant, Seagrove, featuring local

potters only

December, 2008 - Seagrove Potters voted to continue to hold this festival in

2009

58 Seagrove area potters participated

5,000 people (children under 12 free) attendedOver 400 attended inaugural Gala on Friday November 21, 2008

76 pieces of local, handmade pottery donated by local Seagrove potters for

inaugural Celebration auctions
