Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my pleasure to invite you to attend the 6th International

Iberian Biophysics Congress and X Iberoamerican Congress of Biophysics. This international

conference has a tradition of almost two decades. The 2018 edition is organized under the auspices

of the Spanish Biophysical Society (SBE), the Portuguese Biophysical Society (SPBf) and the Latin

American Federation of Biophysical Societies (LAFeBS).

IIBC-2018 will be held in Castellón (Spain) on 20-22 June 2018, in the campus facilities of Universitat

Jaume I.

The scientific program includes several Plenary Lectures, as well as Parallel Symposia on selected

topics covering the main research areas of Biophysics. Symposia will host invited talks and also short

communications selected from submitted abstracts with preference for young researchers. Following

the tradition of previous Meetings, a New and Notable Workshop will take place in the morning of

the first day. The organizers are committed to make the Poster Sessions a place for networking and

the occasion of fruitful and lively discussions in a relaxed atmosphere. Reduced registration fees will

apply to participants who are SBE members. Moreover, a number of grants sponsored by SBE and

SPBf will be available to encourage young researchers’ participation.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

INTRODUCTION

Alo Congress is responsible for the organization of the IIBC-2018 Congress.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These General Terms and Conditions are binding for all exhibitors and sponsors

constituting the trade agreement between the organizer and the firm Exhibitor / Sponsor.

APPLICATION FORM FOR PARTICIPATION

Only properly completed application forms will be considered to participate. The

registration will be confirmed depending on the available area. Applicants will be informed

with a letter of acceptance or rejection to their applications. In case of acceptance, the

sponsors / exhibitors are bound by the terms and conditions listed in the prospectus and /

or the contractual agreement.

OBLIGATIONS AND RIGHTS OF THE EXHIBITOR / SPONSOR

Registration involves the complete acceptance of the exhibition regulations / sponsored

by the exhibitors / sponsors.

Any violation of these regulations may lead to the immediate revocation of the right to

participate in the Congress without compensation or refund of amounts already paid or

payment of damages to the exhibitor / sponsor.

When submitting an application to participate, the exhibitor / sponsor undertakes

definitively and irrevocably to occupy the space / items allocated and to maintain their

facilities until the date and time set for the closing.

The exhibitor / sponsor can only submit materials, products or services described in the

request to participate in their stand or space. Advertising firms that are not registered as

exhibitors is not allowed. Transfer or subletting assigned totally or partially spaces are

prohibited.

The organizer is committed to allocating exhibition space / sponsorship according to the

preferences that indicated applicants. Applications will be considered in the order of

reception of the forms accompanied the corresponding payment.

If absolutely necessary, the organizer reserves the right to modify the positioning of

stands, with no obligation to compensate the exhibitor / sponsor. The organizer reserves

the right to offer any stand, space or sponsorship item that has not been purchased on the

eve of the Congress to a different firm, without obligation to provide compensation to the

exhibitor / sponsor who did not show up.

INSURANCES

The organizer does not ensure the equipment and exhibition materials that the exhibitor /

sponsor installed. Under no circumstances will be held responsible for lost, damage or

destruction to the equipment, goods or property exhibitor / sponsor. The exhibitor /

sponsor are responsible for its exposed material should not block corridors, neighboring

stands obstructing or damaging the facilities or equipment leased. It is requested to

exhibitors to leave enough space to ensure a good view of the surrounding stands

clearance.

The use of flammable materials is not allowed. You must install the equipment exposed

or demonstrated in strict compliance with security measures.

Exhibitors are committed to observe the schedule appointed to complete the construction

of your stand before the opening of the exhibition and dismantled at the closing date of it.

There will be no dismantling or packaging of the stand before the designated time. The

exhibitor is responsible for packing and shipping of all valuable items before leaving the

stand; otherwise the organizer to arrange for its removal risk and expense.

Exhibitors are obliged to ensure that their stands always have staff during working hours

of the exhibition.

Payments will be made in accordance with the conditions listed in the brochure.

If the exhibitor / sponsor do not make its payment on time, the organizer will be

authorized to terminate the contract or to withhold confirmation of acceptance, determine

other arrangements for the stand / sponsorship items or seek compensation for breach of

contract.

The participation of exhibitors / sponsors depends on compliance of all rules, regulations

and conditions set forth herein.

The access to the exhibition will be authorized with the accreditation designed by the

organization. Accreditations of the exhibitors will not be submitted in advance but the

delivered at the counter of the coordinator of the exhibition.

The organizer guarantees the daily cleaning of the aisles. Exhibitors / sponsors assume

responsibility for cleaning their stands.

The exhibition areas and devices made available to exhibitors must be returned in their

original condition. In case of damage or loss of equipment provided, or damage to

occupied areas, the exhibitor will be responsible for the repair and replacement.

Any decoration or special installation must be submitted to the organizer for approval.

No panels or screens of advertising outside the exhibition areas assigned to Exhibitors are

allowed.

The organizer will not approve stands that do not meet accepted standards until they have

made the necessary changes.

CANCELLATION OF THE CONFERENCE

If Congress cannot be performed or is postponed by force majeure or for reasons not

attributable cases of gross negligence Alo Congress, Alo Congress is not liable for

damages, costs and / or losses incurred by the sponsors / exhibitors congress, such as

transport, accommodation, materials or other financial losses responsibility.

Alo Congress shall only be liable in the context of due diligence in accordance with local

laws. Alo responsibility of Congress - for any legal reason - is limited to cases of neglect by

gross negligence.
