Sponsorship for the congress of the

“European Society for Surgical Research 2020”

It is our great pleasure and honor to announce the 55th Congress of the European Society for Surgical Research and the 44th Congress of the Austrian Society for Surgical Research which will take place as a Joint Meeting from May 13th to 15th 2020, in Innsbruck, Austria. As per tradition we will welcome participants from all over the world and we are looking forward to receiving representatives of our sister societies from Japan, South Africa, United Kingdom and United States of America. The congress will take place over two full days at the award-winning convention center Congress Innsbruck which is centrally located and within walking distance to the city centre. A key part will be played by the pre-meeting workshops where participants will learn cutting edge research methods aiming at valorizing their surgical research portfolio. ESSR 2020 will provide a rich and exiting program with several keynote lectures, free paper and video sessions embracing various surgical specialties. A special focus will be reserved for transplantation and oncological surgery as well as cardiovascular research, cardiothoracic, trauma and reconstructive surgery. The common denominator will be INNOVATION and TRANSLATION. The European and the Austrian Society for Surgical Research are proud to award the best abstracts with prestigious prizes like the Walter Brendel Award, the Best Clinical Research Award and the B.Braun Award which will allow the winners to attend and present their work at the meetings of the sister societies. The assignment of other prizes like the Best Young Investigator Award and the Award for Technical Innovation further strengthens both, the innovational as well as the educational focus of this meeting.

Leading professionals, junior attendees and companies in the field will have the opportunity to share their experience and knowledge in a friendly, informal atmosphere. Surrounded by amazing mountains, close to the scenic river Inn, the venue will be a perfect background to set up and strengthen international networks.

General Information

Target Audience

For the Joint 55th international meeting of the European Society for Surgical Research (ESSR) & 44th meeting of the Austrian Society for Surgical Research (ASSR) the attendance of more than 300 participants is anticipated. The target audience for the meeting consists of European General Surgeons, Orthopedic Surgeons, Urologists, Gynecologists, Neurologic Surgeons, Plastic Surgeons and Cardiothoracic Surgeons from all over the world.

Promotion

The Conference will be promoted by direct mails to potential participants and by active promotion on relevant conferences. The announcements will be distributed to all members of ESSR and the national Associations of Surgeons through their society network.

Together with our sister societies as well as through the cooperation with the societies of the surgical specialties present in the program, we plan to advertise the meeting on different national and international meetings, emphasizing its interdisciplinary and international character.

Cancellation

Notification of a sponsor to cancel sponsored items must be submitted to the PCO in writing. The effective date of cancellation or reduction of sponsor items will be the date on which the PCO receives the written notice. In case of cancellation the amounts already invoiced are not refundable.

Liability

The organizers accept no responsibility for any damage if the sponsored event is not performed due to any obstacle or hindrance outside the control of the Organizers ; which they could not have reasonable have foreseen when signing this contract and which the Organizers could not have avoided at a reasonable effort of cost. Such obstacles and hindrances include, but are not limited, to the outbreak of war, civil riots, governmental or other obstacles for the freedom of travel, union actions, natural disasters, fire flooding and any other circumstances that fall within the meaning of the above.

All sponsors will be treated on a first come, first served basis.

Possibilities to promote your company, institute or association are offered through sponsoring of

different materials related to the Conference. We are sure that you will be able to find an item on the

list that fits your specific interest and budget. Of course you are welcome to make your own

suggestions. All prices are excluding 20% VAT and 1% contract fee. For your convenience an all-

inclusive main sponsor package is available.

The minimum available booth space is 6m². Dimensions of the standard booth space are 3m wide and 2m deep. 2 chairs and 1 table is included. Exhibitors are free to use their own constructors.

There is a limited opportunity for companies to host a hospitality suite within the congress venue. Hospitality suites are only available in combination with the Major Partner Package and may be used to offer hospitality only. More specifications about the suite can be obtained through the PCO.

The whole meeting is aimed to certified as a green meeting. If you would like to express your special support to a green meeting you can sponsor the additional effort for green communication, environmental friendly, fair trade and regional food and drinks and the environmentally friendly travel to and from the conference.

Keynote speaker

Sponsoring of one keynote speaker incl. Hotel, travel reimbursement and honorarium. Keynote speakers are chosen by the local organizing committee.

Lanyards

Exclusive sponsorship of the lanyards that participants use to wear their badge. Your name and logo will be displayed on each lanyard. Sponsor to provide lanyards do the congress organizer.

Information for Exhibitors

The conference center provides around 960 m² exhibition area in next to the main meeting room.

Set up Wednesday May 13th 2020, 12 pm – 6 pm

Dismantling: Friday May 15th 2020, from 7 pm

A floor plan including the information on height will be sent after receiving all the exhibitor requests.
