served.

** NOTAFLOF – No one turned away for lack of funds.
There is *no* overall fee for the event! Most classes/activities have a fee or ask for a donation, so read
carefully, so’s not to be embarrassed. If a class says, “donation requested” but gives no amount, count up the
number of these classes that you take and either put in $1 per in the teacher’s donation cans or some into the
donation can for the overall event. This takes care of expenses like gas for teachers & shuttles, paper supplies
for the feast and printing for classes. Some of the costs have been covered through sales of ads in this handbook.
Please patronize these Advertisers!
Places to Eat
Hot Beverages will be available at Anja’s and at Ancient Light. Please chuck something into the donation

Friday
9am - Registration (If you haven’t….) There are sign-up sheets on the bulletin board. Each has info on time &
place for each class/workshop. Most of the rituals (the Newbie Ritual is the exceptiong) and the
general events do not have a sign-up. These will be up on the board starting on 9/20. Come in and
sign up, because some classes have limited space! If you’re coming in from out of town, leave time
to do this!!!!! We will stay open quite late on Thursday, just for the out-of-towners.
10am - Opening Ritual and chat – We set up a small altar which is kept going during the entire event. Bring
images, offerings or requests to place here. This is a good time to get to know some of the teachers
and to check the maps.
11–1pm - Workshop - Reclaiming Candles & Wax – Anja - Ever wonder what to do with the tealights, spell
candles and altar candles that were consecrated and used in ritual? Every witch has wax and ends left
over that should never be just trashed. 1 hour, no fee, bring used candles. $1 donation requested.
NOTAFLOF**
11–1pm - Discussion group - Building a Natural Homestead – Marius - a discussion on reducing your carbon
footprint by building a home that uses alternative and renewable building techniques.
1-2 PM - Lunch Break – Brown Bag or go out to eat. Suggested places in “Where to Eat” section. Please get to
your next class on time!!!!

** NOTAFLOF – No one turned away for lack of funds.
2-4pm - Workshop - Sand Candles I, Safety, Materials and Melting/Pouring - Anja - This is a two-part class
that will run for 1 hour each on 2 days so that we can get candles finished. You may take either part
of the class separately, but then will not have a candle to take home with you. $1 is for the class
handout of basic instructions & sources for materials. $3 is the materials cost for a basic small
candle. $5 will cover a large or beeswax candle. (Each part is 1 hour)
2-6pm - Workshop - Drum Workshop – Lupa - Saturday afternoon workshop on making a drum. Materials
cost would probably be $40 at the most, and you'd get to make a nice rawhide and woodframe drum
(8' diameter) and beater to take home that day. I'd need reservations in advance to make sure I
brought enough materials. You must register directly with Lupa at [email protected]
3-5 PM – Class - Psychic Hygiene – Elan - So you are opening to the magical you. Your light is shining and
attracting every moth in the area. What do you do? How do you keep them off and continue to move
forward? This is a short version of a 7 hour course that I have been teaching for a couple of years. -
$5
4-6pm Workshop - Poppet Magicks – Anja – What’s a poppet and why do witches make ‘em? Make a
poppet for either chasing away headaches or promoting restful sleep. We will cover basic
construction techniques (even if you don’t know how to thread a needle!!!!) decorating, stuffing (and
with what) and consecrating. –$3 for materials. You will take home a (partly finished) poppet and a
pattern, plus a handout of sources and suggestions. NOTAFLOF**
5-7pm Fairy Trek – Marius - Let's go looking for fairies in the woods. We'll take some basic equipment,
and gather evidence of what we don't see with our eyes.
6-8pm Travelers Stew – Bring bread or dessert or extras and put $2 in the donation can, please. We set up
the main dish, so that folks don’t have to cook or eat out tonight. . The stew this year is beef-based.
6-10pm Sumble, Jam & Chat session - Sumble is a holy rite of Asatru. It consists of (usually) 3 rounds, first
for the Gods (typically only Nordic gods), second round for the Ancestors (living or dead or
someone that has greatly influenced you), last round is open for toasts, stories, song, and thanks. You
can also toast gods or ancestors again in third round. Mead is often, and most commonly, used for
the toasts. Your need ID to consume the alcoholic beverages. We’ll have non-alcohlic, as well.
Those who are not participating can have fun with the Jam and Chat!
Saturday, September 29
9-10am Class - Remote Healing: or Healing the World from your Bedroom – Elan – This class is based
on experience and I will speak to questions that students bring. - By donation
9-10am Workshop - Scalded Milk Cheese – Anja – Our grandmothers didn’t buy all their cheese from a
grocery store. There were specialty cheeses, but every farm wife knew how to make the original
“cottage cheese”, which tastes *nothing* like the bland stuff that you buy these days! Scalded milk
cheese is a simple technique. This is a fun hands-on workshop where we will make something tasty
for the feast! Bring a gallon of whole milk, a quart container and $1 to take some home with you,
along with the recipe and some suggestions for flavorings. (If you’re from a distance, let me know
ahead of time and I’ll get a gallon for you.) NOTAFLOF**
** NOTAFLOF – No one turned away for lack of funds.
9-11am Workshop - Wand Smithing 101: The Elemental Way – Silas -.I will bring 20 assorted wooden
wands that will be sanded. These will be given out to the class attendees. I will give a discussion on
the magical properties of the woods and stones/crystals for the wands or stave's. I will discuss the
proper way to gather from the forest or trees and bushes in a witch like manner. - By donation to the
Temple
10-11am Seminar - (A very, very basic) Introduction to ancient Egyptian Mythology – Fawkes – We’ll
share since we all know a little about the Ancient Egyptians. I’ll bring some books and pull the ones
from the shop library. $5 donation suggested. NOTAFLOF**
10-11am Workshop - Herb Identification - Anja – Learn the basics of how and where to find materials on
figuring out what you’ve got. Bring some plants from your area and we’ll see what we can do with
them! I’ll have some local plants to work with as well. Experience doesn’t matter in this one. For as
long as I’ve been doing all this stuff *I* get stumped, too! …and if you’re a beginner as far as plants
and herbs go, this is *essential* info! Suggested donation of $1 covers handout of further reading
and essential resources. NOTAFLOF**

will have a lesson on grounding and centering.

religions, so kids are inevitable… Topics will include: what is the difference between Pagan and
standard parenting, how to include children in ritual and seasonal celebrations, how do you handle
melt-downs in ritual, how to introduce ethics, morals & sex ed., and lot of stories and time for
questions - 2 hours – Suggested donation of $1 covers handout of source materials and suggestions
for study. NOTAFLOF**
1:00 PM - Lunch Break
2-4pm Class - Northern Myth – Brandon - This class will cover several Nordic myths like creation, war of
Aesir and Vanir, and Ragnarok the doom of the gods and maybe a few more followed by discussion.
2-4pm Class - Basic Space-Time Magick – Taylor - In this workshop, we will look at the elements of
space and time and their role in magical work, as well as how we can work with space and time as
active principles of our magical practice. I will also provide a list of space/time magic entities you
can work with, if you want to explore space/time magic further. : $5 per person
2-3pm Class - Finding a Safe Place – Mary Cedarwolf - This was a suggestion for you folks that freak out
during visualization/meditation – we used it in our Wicca 101, 201 classes – it is a shamanic
technique (that is where I first learned it). The first lesson is to find/create safe space – then we used
it as a “jumping off place” for further exploration/visualization. The idea is to give folks a place of
safety that they can come back to by themselves or when they are in a visualization that is scary they
can go there instead of following the others.
3-4pm Class - “Who am I?”, What every witch must know – Mary Cedarwolf - This is an introduction to
a process that may be started in class, but must be completed alone.
** NOTAFLOF – No one turned away for lack of funds.
4-6pm Class - The Burning Times, the Song, the Myth and the History – Anja - The Burning Times is
part of Wiccan folklore, but how real is it? What is the actual history of this dark time of
persecution? Who were the people who were actually burned and where and why? …and how many
of them were actually witches? – 1 hour – suggested donation of $1 covers handout of further
reading. NOTAFLOF**

on its ashes. No fees.
6-10pm Potluck Feast – Bring a dish to share! It can be as simple as stopping at the local grocery for
something baked or a bag of salad, or get fancy and creative! We have a lot of plug-ins for crockpots
and such, a large stove and a regular size oven and microwave to work with. There will be coffee,
hot water for tea and other beverages. A couple of dishes will be made earlier in the day in
workshops.
8-10pm Full Moon Esbat on the Beach – Weather permitting, we’ll head to a nearby ocean beach for a
ritual under the moon. Bring warm clothes for this one! It can be in the 40’s at night. The ritual will
be standard Wiccan practice.
Sunday, September 30
9-11am Workshop - Basic Liqueurs – Anja - Legal Drinking age only, must produce ID. - Ever since
humans started distilling alcohol there’ve been liqueurs. They’re easy and fun and tasty….most of the time.
This is an introduction to this fascinating craft. We’ll make one in class, talk a little about methods, taste a few
and you’ll go home with a handout with recipes to try. Bring a pint glass bottle to take home a sample. Fee of
$5 will cover materials costs and handout of further reading.
9-11am Neopagan Acceptance of Sex- and Gender-Based Subcultures – Lupa – Over 18 only, please -
The neopagan community, comprised of Wiccans, pagans, druids, Asatru, and many other nature and magic-
based paths, has historically been particularly accepting of other subcultures, including those related to sex
and gender. Many neopagans participate in the BDSM/fetish scene, practice polyamory, and are queer
friendly,. However, as inclusive as the community may be, we sometimes find ourselves marginalized by
homophobia, transphobia, and misunderstandings surrounding polyamory. Learn how we have overcome
prejudices in the past, how to deal with intolerance in the present, and how neopagan efforts to be accepted
and recognized by mainstream society parallel and may be supported by efforts of gender- and sex-based
subcultures. – Donation of $5 requested, NOTAFLOF**

them through stories and literature! – 1 hour – suggested donation of $1 covers handout of further reading.

totems are versatile aids in magic and personal growth. Lupa explains the basics of totemism, including what

meditation, so please wear comfortable clothing. – Donation of $5 requested, NOTAFLOF**

instructions & sources for materials. $3 is the materials cost for a basic small candle. $5 will cover a large or
beeswax candle. (Each part is 1 hour)
3-5pm Workshop: Ley-lines, power-spots and communicating with the land – Taylor - In this workshop
we'll discuss what leylines and power spots are, the different between an artificial leyline and a natural one,
and how leylines can be used to connect with other planets and stars, as well as how to communicate and
develop a relationship with the land. Cost: $5 per person
4-6pm Class - History/Herstory of Witchcraft, Stonehenge – Anja – I’ve been fascinated by Stonehenge
ever since I first heard of it. We’ll cover the basics of where and how first, then go on to local area and culture
