History

Community Living Centers, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in 1968 to care for

developmentally disabled adults. We currently care for approximately 150 developmentally disabled

individuals through our residential living program, our assisted independent living program, and our

respite care program for children and adults living in their own homes. Our office is located in downtown

Farmington and our 11 group homes and independent living apartments are in Oakland County.

Each spring, Community Living Centers hosts a gala fundraiser, our Celebrity Chefs Dinner. We are

honored to have Certified Master Chef Milos Cihelka, founder/owner of the famed Golden Mushroom

restaurant in Southfield, as the organizing genius behind the recruiting of 12-15 of the Detroit area’s top

chefs. Each chef prepares and donates an hors d’oeuvre or a portion of our 5-course meal for our 300+

guests at the Detroit Athletic Club.

This year will be our 39th annual Celebrity Chefs Dinner, and we welcome you to be a part of this

extraordinary event to benefit the residents, families and communities of Oakland County.
