DESCRIPTION
Northern Ballet is one of the UK’s best-loved dance companies, performing throughout the UK and overseas. We are a company of 40 dancers, accompanied by a Sinfonia with 27 players. Just as we felt we were on the crest of a wave, and having achieved so much, we were informed of a huge cut to our funding. In real terms, these funding cuts mean we are in serious danger of losing a number of dancers. Having fewer dancers would really effect what we offered our audiences.

Sponsor a Dancer is our campaign to stop this happening, and now we really need your help.
Sponsor a DancerJustaswefeltwewereonthecrestofawave,andhavingachievedsomuch,wewereinformedofahugecuttoourfunding.
Inrealterms,thesefundingcutsmeanweareinseriousdangeroflosinganumberofdancers.Havingfewerdancerswouldreallyeffectwhatweofferedouraudiences.
Weprideourselvesoncreatingexcitingnewballetsandtakingthesetomoreplacesandmorepeoplethananyotherdancecompany,touchingaudienceslikeyouwithdancethatisinspiring,inventiveandmoving.

We may no longer be able to perform at your favourite venue anymore.
We might have to stop performing some of your favourite ballets.
