Dear TTT,So often we miss out on God’s best because we give up

too soon.

We don’t realize how close we are to our victory. Just another few days of believing, another few weeks of

doing the right thing, or another few months of staying in faith is all you may need to see His promises come to

pass.

Today, I want to speak by faith over you. Your break-through is right around the corner!

You might say, “Joel, I don’t know how I’m going to make it. Things seem to be getting worse instead of bet-ter.” You might be tempted to think, I’m never going to find my spouse, or I’m never going to get that promo-

tion, or I’m never going to break this addiction.

But you can, because the truth is your Heavenly Father is closer than you think.

I have found that the intensity gets turned up when vic-tory is near. The enemy would not be fighting so hard if he didn’t already know he was about to lose his grip

on you.

When those negative thoughts come that would dis-courage you, just remind yourself that you are a child

of the Most High God. Let your words be, “I am an overcomer. I am the head and not the tail. I am a victor

and not a victim.”

Scripture is full of people who were closer than they thought...

•David faced impossible odds against Goliath, but he was moments away from victory (1 Samuel 17).

•Elijah was surrounded by 400 false prophets, but the power of God was about to be revealed for everyone to

see (1 Kings 18).•Joseph was forgotten and left in prison, but he was just a dream away from his royal position (Genesis 39–40).

Can you imagine if David dropped his slingshot and ran? What if Elijah had backed down? What if Joseph

had stopped dreaming?

They didn’t give up, and God gave them victory!

These stories reveal that it is often the darkest right before the dawn.

Perhaps today you are facing impossible odds. Maybe you feel surrounded, maybe you feel forgotten. The

good news for you is that our God can act suddenly in your situation. In a moment’s notice, everything can

change for the better!

I believe and declare that God is going to open doors on your behalf. Your faith will be rewarded. Your dawn is

almost here. He will put you in the right position to win. He is going to give you inside information. He will do

the impossible in your life. Get ready!

Victoria and I love you and pray for you every day. We are believing God’s best for you, and we are so excited that you are going to see God move in your situation sooner than you think! You are going to be amazed at

His goodness in the days to come.

Power in His Word

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “Your word have I laid up in my heart, that I might not sin

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria Did you know that the Word of God has the power to

protect you and keep you from doing the things you know you shouldn’t do? Hebrews tells us that the Word of God is

living and active; it’s powerful in our lives. God commu-nicates to us through His written Word, the Bible, and He communicates with us through His spoken Word which

can come in many ways. In scripture, God spoke to people through a burning bush, a still small voice, and even a donkey. Today, He may speak to your heart through a friend, a worship song, or something in creation. One

thing is for sure, when He does speak, your spirit knows it. There is confirmation in your inner man. God always

speaks truth, and truth always sets you free!

God’s Word also protects you. When you hold His Word close to your heart, it acts like a shield around your heart.

You hold His Word close to you by meditating on it, focus-ing on it, thinking about it and declaring it. As you allow His truth to sink into your spirit, it will empower you and change you. It will equip you to live the good life He has

prepared for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word which

strengthens and protects me. Thank You for speaking truth to my heart. Help me to hear Your voice more clearly that I may live a life pleasing to You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Give Him Your Cares

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he

cares about you” (1 Peter 5:7, NLT)

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria God desires to take care of whatever may be concerning you today. He invites you to give

your worries and cares to Him simply because He loves you!

How do you give Him your cares? First of all, understand that cares show up in your mind.

When negative, self-defeating thoughts of worry come, you have to recognize them as

cares and replace them with the Word of God. For example, if you are concerned about a need today, say out loud, “My God shall supply all my

needs according to His riches in glory.” If you have fear about something, say out loud, “God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power,

love and a sound mind.” If you have sickness in your body, declare, “By His stripes I am healed.”

As you meditate on the truth and focus your heart and mind on the Father, those cares and

concerns will disappear.

Then, thank Him for giving you peace and joy. Thank Him for working in your life. As you

keep an attitude of faith and expectancy, give Him your worries and cares and get ready for

the blessing He has for your future!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY Father in heaven, I come to You today cast-

ing my cares on You. I choose to believe Your Word and trust that You are working behind

the scenes on my behalf. I give You all the praise and glory in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Cover Yourself with Him

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria Is there something in your life that you would like to put a stop to today? Maybe it’s a certain behavior, ad-diction or bad attitude that isn’t pleasing to God? Just as Adam and Eve were exposed in their sin and needed to be clothed in the Garden, we need to clothe ourselves to protect us from sin. When you “clothe yourself ” with the Lord Jesus Christ, He strengthens you against temp-

tation.

How do you clothe yourself with Jesus Christ? In the same way you cover yourself in the natural with clothing — by putting something on. You have to daily “put on” the Word of God. You have to cover your ears by listen-ing to the Word. You cover your eyes by watching only what is pleasing to the Lord. You cover your mouth by speaking the Word and encouraging those around you. As you cover yourself with Christ, you will be strong against temptation, and you will walk in the victory the

Lord has planned for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to pay the penalty for my sins. Thank You for providing a way out of temptation so that I can stand clean before You. Help me stand strong as I cover myself with Your

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria God longs to give you a glimpse of heaven

while you are here on earth. He wants to show you His wonderful plan and bring it to pass

in your life. Have you ever thought about how God’s will is accomplished in heaven? In heaven, God’s will is automatic. There are no opposing forces of darkness or anything that would come against His will. On earth, His will is activated in our lives when we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior; and then, we must choose His will on a daily basis in our thoughts, words and actions. On earth, we have to stand against the forces of darkness

and refuse those negative, self-defeating thoughts that come against His will.

Today, open your heart to the will of God which is the Word of God. As it says in Ephe-sians 6, you will be empowered by your union with Him. Declare what God says about you and be empowered to overcome opposition. Stand strong in faith and see God’s will come

to pass in your life just as it is in heaven!

How many times like Daniel and his companions have you found yourself with no lack but yet purposing not to take or be a part of something that you know is wrong and does not honor God? I know its tough but when we choose like Daniel chose not to defile himself and take the easy way, we too will experience God’s favor. I have learned through out the years in God’s faithfulness when you walk in your best obedience honoring his principles, you loose to gain, and his favor will see you through. And when it is all said and done in this age as we know it and we are raptured away we will see grace face to face and the enemy will be no more, forever with are Redeemer Jesus

Christ.

GOOD NEWS!

What foods are you willing to eat for a healthier lifestyle? I ask this question since last week in the article I talked about Daniel a prophet of God, he along with other Isra-elites were taken by the armies of King Nebuchadnezzar to Babylon. In the midst of this horrible experience to say the least, Daniel made a decision not to give in to a life-style that went against the principles of God, Jehovah. So metaphorically speaking I ask, what foods are you willing to eat for a healthier lifestyle? Place yourself in the shoes of Daniel, he was taken captive from Judah to Babylon to an environment that was hostile and wanted nothing to do with his God. Maybe like Daniel you find yourself captive in areas of your life that are hard to deal with, I challenge you purpose in your heart not to give in, and

watch God bring forth good news.

Picking up from the scripture I shared last week it reads the following in the Old Testament first part of the verse in Daniel 1:8 “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the king’s dainties, nor with the wine which he drank ...” A time in Daniel’s life not by choice he was in a foreign land taken captive, by order of the kings word Daniel amongst others were to be trained in the learning and tongue of the Chaldeans. No doubt even though their was no lack of food, drink, or shelter, the fact that they were under the authority of their en-emies they could not enjoy all they had before them. “ But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the king’s dainties, nor with the wine which he drank ...” How unpleasant to have no lack and yet be

captive, stay with me I have good news.

In these cultures and in these times naming someone by a certain name to give them a mark of identity if you will was practiced and common. Check out the meaning of the names of Daniel and his companions from Judah: Ha-naniah, Mishael, and Azariah. All Hebrew origin names that marked there destiny, first Daniel means ‘God is my judge’, Hananiah means ‘God has favored’ , Mishael means ‘Who is like God?’ , and Azariah means ‘Whom the Lord helps’. You see God created all for a purpose and a destiny that is fulfilling and it does matter what culture, social status, and any other area of who or where you are or what you might be going through, you are a creation of God. You have been named and strategically place in a world of over 7 billion in population to be an instrument

of his good news.

GATTI’S HOSTSUNDERSEA GALA

Hundreds of area residents found themselves transported to the undersea world of Bikini Bottom Monday evening for a party

with Spongebob Squarepants and his friend, Patrick Starfish. The famous pair of Nickolodean cartoon characters welcomed chil-

dren, parents and grandparents to Gatti’s in Abilene for a night of thrills and fun.

Only the youngest infants failed to recognize the two undersea celebrities. Toddlers ran to embrace the two, some screaming,

“Bob” or “Patrick” as they crossed the floor. Older children wore Spongebob house slippers, shirts and caps, proudly showing

the items to their square, yellow hero. This reporter sported her beloved Spongebob watch, which was admired by the sponge

himself.

Countless photos of Spongebob and Patrick were snapped by parents and grandparents as the children embraced the popular

cartoon figures. Donna Click, Supervisor of Marketing at Gatti’s, escorted the bigger-than-life celebrities around the premises,

ensuring that each child had opportunities to meet and greet them.

Are you believing God for something that is taking longer than you thought or expected? If you are praying according to His promises,

no matter how long you may have been stand-ing, don’t give up! Your season is coming.

Your harvest of blessing is on its way. It might be today, it might be tomorrow, it might

be next week, next month or next year; but remember, at the right time you will experi-

ence your breakthrough. Be encouraged today because God is faithful, and His promises are true. Keep standing, keep hoping, keep believing. Keep doing good. Keep declaring

the promises of God over your life. Choose to be around people who are going to encourage you and fill your heart and mind with God’s Word. Let a song of praise come out of your mouth. As you continue to press on in faith and keep an attitude of victory, you will see your harvest of blessing and live as an over-

comer in every area of your life.
