Been and Gone…

I hope you all had a great Christmas and I wish you all the best for 2018. It will be a very exiting year for QCYC with the Interislander and Nationals on the schedule for the upcoming months.

Rainbows under tow Boys and biscuits The QCYC Xmas party was an awesome day. Whoever could make travelled to the Outward bound facility in Torea bay: Some sailed, some towed and Azrael carried over the rest. Then it was a few hours play on boats, biscuits, jetski’s, in the water and on land. The kitchen team prepared a lovely lunch with roast meat, salads, and all the extra’s. Yum. Then it was time to move the whole circus back to QCYC.

Charteris Bay - -

SAT-SUN Jan 27 + 28 2018

Every year club members travel to Charteris Bay to sail this regatta. SIAG is a fun age group regatta. Back

fleet coaching is allowed and a great regatta to take our newest sailors from the rainbow and green fleet.

We normally work together to get everyone there and back and often have a pot luck meal together. It is

not just about the sailing but having a great weekend together. Please let us know you are interested.

Accommodation options could be Camping, a holiday home or maybe using the scout Hall. Ian has

volunteered to coordinate QCYC at the regatta.

It looks like we already have the following sailors and their families going: Open Fleet Opti: Mika

Boniface, Matthew Hall and Most likely River and Moss Hopkins. Green Fleet: 2 Amos girls, Andrew Hall
