The Lord has joined our paths together in ministry to the community and families. What a BLESSING! We are very close to getting the license and begin our school year. We can really use your help in numerous ways: 1. Please pray for the Lords Blessings on this new minis- try. For His guiding presence to continue to lead us and bless us. 2. Please pass the word that we are looking for addition- al students! Great Start is a tuition free preschool for children that are 4 yrs old by September 1, 2017. It is a powerful curriculum to prepare children for kindergar- ten. Great Starts mission is to help low to moderate income families and at-risk children be able to attend preschool free of charge. So pass the word in your families and neighborhoods, post it on your Facebook page or email your friends. There is no residency re- quirement or any citizenship requirements. We want to fill up the classroom. 3. We are also looking for a part time lunchtime class- room aide. This position does not require experience but it would help. Anyone interested in enrolling or applying for work should call Michele Jones 586-260-6576. We are dedicated to starting children out on a lifetime of learning and we are fortunate to be at St. Thomas to make that happen. JC style—Grade 6th and up - Room 211

CrossBridge Action Network is thrilled to be joining with St. Thomas Lutheran to open a Great Start Readiness Program Preschool (GSRP) with you this fall. The Lord has joined our paths together in ministry to the community and families. What a BLESSING! We are very close to getting the license and begin our school year. We can really use your help in numerous ways:

1. Please pray for the Lord’s Blessings on this new minis-try. For His guiding presence to continue to lead us and bless us.

2. Please pass the word that we are looking for addition-al students! Great Start is a tuition free preschool for children that are 4 yrs old by September 1, 2017. It is a powerful curriculum to prepare children for kindergar-ten. Great Start’s mission is to help low to moderate income families and at-risk children be able to attend preschool free of charge. So pass the word in your families and neighborhoods, post it on your Facebook page or email your friends. There is no residency re-quirement or any citizenship requirements. We want to fill up the classroom.

3. We are also looking for a part time lunchtime class-room aide. This position does not require experience but it would help.

Anyone interested in enrolling or applying for work should call Michele Jones 586-260-6576. We are dedicated to starting children out on a lifetime of learning and we are fortunate to be at St. Thomas to make that happen.

ly Fournier. • Pastor and Monica Hetzner gave to the Kapelle

Thank You!

This Month - We are preparing for our Holiday Baskets! We put together 100 holiday meals with extra can goods and non perisha-ble items. The majority of our food is purchased for this day, because

it is perishable and can not be stored or bought ahead of time. Monetary contributions are greatly appreciated to help in the cost of these items. Also we could use your help when putting these baskets together on November 17, and December 15.

Please remember to direct your dollars on behalf of the Thrivent Financial for Luther-ans “Thrivent Choice” pro-gram. STL receives a dona-

tion without effecting your accounts! Have you directed your dollars to STL? Thank you - for your support with this donation program.

Have your blood pressure checked after the service on the 2nd Sunday of the month

Remember our clothing closet when cleaning your closets this fall!

Interested in receiving a little midweek encouragement every Thursday morning? Send your request to [email protected] and we will start sending you “Thursday’s Thirst”.

ARE YOU INTERESTED? "Tuesday's Text"

A short passage from the Bible sent to your phone sometime during the day on Tuesday ... SEND PASTOR HETZNER A TEXT IF YOU ARE INTERESTED at 586-854-5634

Looking for a way to serve the Lord? The Al-tar Guild is in need of women who could fill the spots where several of our ladies have become una-ble to serve. Teams of two serve for two weeks about every 6 weeks. Please contact Cheryl Phan-euf at 586-777-0169 for training and becoming a part of this ministry.

Patrons are needed for the Christmas Eve cantata to off-set the cost of the profession-al chamber orchestra and the orchestral score. If you are interested in being a patron for the Kapelle, please bring your donation to the church office, or place your donation

in an envelope marked "Patron for Christmas" in the offering plate. Donations can also be used as memorials and thank offerings. Thanking you in advance for your continued support of the Kapelle, as they continue to edify the church through worship in song.

On Christmas Eve at 4:00, the Kapelle will pre-sent “Were You There on That Christmas Night?”, a Cantata with professional chamber or-chestra. The Cantata beautifully conveys the message that Christ the Messiah is God's great-est gift to ALL people. In addition to the Kapelle and Chamber Orchestra, Mary, Joseph, Angels, Shepherds, Wisemen, (all from Cross†raining) and congregation will participate in hearing and singing the enduring message: Unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord!

Joy is a missionary in training for POBLO, sharing her love for Jesus that she found after questioning and doubting Islam. She has a degree in Islamic shariah law and used to teach Islamic religion in high school, until she was given a Bible to read by a fellow Christian teacher when she was asked a question from a student about Allah she couldn’t answer. Please come a join in an evening of leaning and fellow-ship.
