INTRODUCTION

The best part about casting Brazilian Quimbanda magical spells and cleansing rituals is that they work very fast. All of the following Brazilian Quimbanda spells and cleansing rituals are real and authentic. I have personally used all of them over the past years in my spiritual practice of traditional Brazilian Quimbanda with much success. All of the following spells and cleansing rituals should be followed exactly as they are presented here in this book if you want to see fast magical results and success.

The following book was written to introduce interested individuals and religious practitioners from all magical traditions to explore and to experience the supernatural power and strength of Brazilian Quimbanda.

RELIGIOUS TRADITIONS OF THE AMERICAN CANDOMBLE CHURCH

The following religious book was written for the initiates of the Congregation of the American Candomble Church. In the year 2003, the Casa Montenegro Spiritual Temple was formally organized into the American Candomble Church to preserve the unique and historical religious traditions of the mysteries of the Afro-Brazilian Candomble De Congo religious tradition and the Afro-Brazilian Quimbanda religious tradition that have been uniquely practiced by the De Bourbon-Montenegro Family of Brazil and have successfully survived for more than 148 years. All books written and published by the American Candomble Church for its religious clergy and religious Congregation are considered sacred and holy and that the religious doctrine and religious theology have only been made possible through the Divine Intercession of Nzambi and the Holy Quimbanda Trinity. In our sacred teachings and religious doctrines, the American Candomble Church recognizes that we are not the only religious group of practitioners of the Quimbanda religious tradition. The American Candomble Church also acknowledges that there are many religious variations of the Quimbanda religious tradition that presently exist and that are practiced throughout the world, but we believe that we are Nzambi’s chosen people. The American Candomble Church believes that our particular historical religious traditions have been ordained by Nzambi are unique and it has evolved into the most orthodox Congo derived gnostic religious tradition in its truest and purest form of the Quimbanda religious practice as brought to Earth by Nzambi, the “God of Heaven”. The initiates and religious Congregation of the American Candomble

Church believe that Nzambi has chosen our “Church” and our particular Quimbanda religious tradition to speak directly through the Prophets of our Church and to the religious clergy of the American Candomble Church to deliver the “Divine Word of Nzambi” to his children here on Earth. The American Candomble Church believes that there is no God but Nzambi, the “Divine Heavenly Creator of the Heavens and the Earth”, the “Sacred Breath” which gave the Universe life. Let all on Earth bow down to Him for He is the “Lord our God”, and the “Lord of Lords” and there is no other. For all of these historical reasons, the religious clergy and the religious Congregation of the American Candomble Church believe that our sacred and holy religious traditions have been ordained by Nzambi (God) and our "Church" will continue to grow old and survive into the 21st Century and even beyond. The religious theology and religious doctrine of the Prophets of the American Candomble Church has been confirmed by divine religious law that we are Nzambi’s chosen people.

AN INTRODUCTION TO BRAZILIAN QUIMBANDA RITUALS

The magical spiritual offerings and sacred rituals of the Brazilian Quimbanda religious tradition are known for their fast results. Spiritual offerings and rituals are collectively known in the Portuguese language as “trabalhos” or in the English language as “works”. Spiritual offerings are also known in the African language as "Ebo". Because of the historical richness of the Quimbanda religion, the religious practitioners of this magico-religious system draw on the energy found in nature as well as from the powers of the spirits and the deities of the Quimbanda pantheon. Rituals of Quimbanda are usually dedicated to one or more spirits. The rituals usually consist of drawing a symbolic spirit signature on the ground at a sacred location where the ritual offering will be left at. The location of the ritual offering will be determined by what type of Ebo is being cast and for what spirit is being invoked. It is believed that every location has a specific set of spiritual entities that govern that place. A typical Quimbanda Ebo would be done at the crossroads when summoning the spirit Exu Tranca Ruas to close the roads of your enemies. The Ebo usually consists of candles, cigars, cigarettes, a food offering, a liquor offering and other items that are sacred to the spirit that is being invoked to do the spiritual work. The majority of the Ebo's of Quimbanda are performed during the late night hours because it is believed that the spirits manifest here on earth during those hours. After the Ebo has been brought to the desired magical location, the religious practitioner will recite a prayer to the spirits making a spiritual petition to grant their requests. Rituals such as those for cleansing are usually also done at specific locations depending on the desired intent of the individual. Cleansing rituals usually

involve the individual taking a series of herbal spiritual baths known as "amaci" and often times a ritual performed at the shrine of a particular spirit or deity at the Quimbanda Terreiro, Tenda or Munanzo. The word, Terreiro in the Portuguese language refers to a traditional Afro-Brazilian temple and the word, Munanzo is an African Congo word that refers to a house of worship. The priest or religious practitioner who performs these Ebo's and rituals is called “Quimbandeiro”. The word Quimbandeiro is an African Congo word meaning “healer” or “shaman”. Because the Quimbanda religion believes in spiritual communication, often times an individual seeking spiritual advice will visit a Quimbandeiro Priest to find out the answer of their questions. This is usually performed using a divination system known as "Buzios". The buzios are an Afro-Brazilian divination system which uses a set of 16 cowrie shells to consult with the Quimbanda spirits. This divination method is also known as the “chamalongo”. An individual may also seek advice from a spiritual medium that can incorporate a specific spirit guide or Quimbanda spirit to receive spiritual remedies and spiritual solutions to their problems. The spiritual process by which an individual medium becomes possessed by the spirits is referred to as “incorporating the spirit”. The spirits and deities of the Quimbanda religious pantheon are divided into seven categories. These seven categories are known as THE SEVEN GREATER QUIMBANDA KINGDOMS and THE SEVEN LESSER QUIMBANDA KINGDOMS. Each one of the Seven Quimbanda Kingdoms is ruled over by a specific set of deities and spirits. Each of the Seven Quimbanda Kingdoms is associated with a specific location, such as the crossroads, cemetery, oceans, forest, mountains and churches. Within the Seven Greater Quimbanda Kingdoms, the first three (3)

Kingdoms of Quimbanda deities are more commonly known as the QUIMBANDA TRINITY. The Quimbanda Trinity is composed of the three deities, Exu Maioral, Exu Rei and Maria Padilla Reina. Together these three powerful spiritual forces govern the cosmos and the Earth for Nzambi. That is why the religious practitioners of the Quimbanda religion venerate these three deities. The veneration of the Quimbanda Trinity is a central spiritual belief of our faith. Religious practitioners of Quimbanda believe that the deities of the Quimbanda pantheon were placed there by Nzambi to watch over the Universe and over the actions of mankind. Within the realm of the outer confines of the Kingdoms of the Quimbanda Trinity there are found the mysteries of the inner Seven Lesser Quimbanda Kingdoms of the Spirit, Exu Rei and the Spirit, Maria Padilla Reina. THE SEVEN LESSER QUIMBANDA KINGDOMS are collectively ruled over by the deity Exu Rei and the female deity, Maria Padilla Reina. The deity Maria Padilla Reina is also known as Pomba Gira by the religious practitioners of the Quimbanda religious faith. The deity Exu Rei and the deity Maria Padilla Reina are believed to have seven different spiritual paths which are split among THE SEVEN LESSER QUIMBANDA KINGDOMS. Each of THE SEVEN LESSER QUIMBANDA KINGDOMS is governed over by a distinct spiritual path of the deity, Exu Rei and the deity, Maria Padilla Reina. Within each of THE SEVEN LESSER QUIMBANDA KINGDOMS, there are 9 specific Chief Guardian Spirits of Exu and Pomba Giras that are associated with a specific spiritual task and assignment to spiritually assist mankind. These Exu and Pomba Gira spirits operate under the direct command of the King (EXU) and Queen (REINA) that govern a particular Quimbanda Kingdom. Although there are many different individual Exus and Pomba Gira spirits represented

within the confines of THE SEVEN LESSER QUIMBANDA KINGDOMS, it is believed that there exist only 121 different distinct Exus and 121 different distinct Pomba Giras. This belief is not shared by all traditional Quimbanda temples and in some temples there could be hundreds.

THE MEANINGS OF THE SEVEN LESSER QUIMBANDA KINGDOMS

The following are the characteristics and spirits associated with each of the Seven Lesser Quimbanda Kingdoms of Exu. In the Quimbanda religion, the Spirit Exu is represented by the masculine spiritual force and the Spirit Pomba Gira is represented by the feminine spiritual force. Together these two spiritual forces are inseparable and represent balance of mind, body, spirit and soul.

The First Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom of the Spirit Exu is known as The Kingdom of the Crossroads (Reino Das Encruzilhadas). This Kingdom is ruled over and governed by the Spirit, Exu Rei Das Encruzilhadas and the Spirit, Pomba Gira Das Encruzilhadas. The First Quimbanda Kingdom of the Spirit Exu represents the spiritual energies and forces found at the crossroads. The nine Chief Guardian Exu Spirits found in the First Quimbanda Kingdom are; Exu Tranca Ruas, Exu Sete Encruzilhadas, Exu Das Almas, Exu Marabo, Exu Tiriri, Exu Veludo, Exu Morcego, Exu Sete Gargalhadas and Exu Mirim.

The Second Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom of the Spirit Exu is known as The Kingdom of the Crossings (Reino Dos Cruzeiros). This Kingdom is ruled over and governed by the Spirit, Exu Rei Dos Cruzeiros and the Spirit, Pomba Gira Dos Cruzeiros. The Second Quimbanda Kingdom of the Spirit Exu represents the spiritual energies and forces found at the crossings. The nine Chief Guardian Exu Spirits found in the second Quimbanda Kingdom are; Exu Tranca Tudo, Exu Kirombo, Exu Sete Cruzeiros, Exu Mangueira, Exu Kaminaloa, Exu Sete Cruzes, Exu 7 Portas, Exu Meia Noite and Exu Kalunga.

The Third Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom of the Spirit Exu is known as The Kingdom of the Forests (Reino Das Matas). This Kingdom is ruled over and governed by the Spirit, Exu Rei Das Matas and the

Spirit, Pomba Gira Das Matas. The Third Quimbanda Kingdom of the Spirit Exu represents the spiritual energies and forces found within the forests and fields. The nine Chief Guardian Exu Spirits found in the Third Quimbanda Kingdom are; Exu Quebra Galho, Exu Das Sombras, Exu Das Matas, Exu Das Campinas, Exu Da Serra Negra, Exu Sete Pedras, Exu Sete Cobras, Exu Do Cheiro and Exu Arranca Toco.

The Fourth Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom of the Spirit Exu is known as The Kingdom of the Cemetery (Reino Da Kalunga). This Kingdom is ruled over and governed by the Spirit, Exu Rei Kalunga and the Spirit, Pomba Gira Kalunga. The fourth Quimbanda Kingdom of the Spirit Exu represents the spiritual energies and forces found within the mysteries of the cemetery. The nine Chief Guardian Exu Spirits found in the fourth Quimbanda Kingdom are; Exu Porteira, Exu Sete Tumbas, Exu Sete Catacumbas, Exu Da Brasa, Exu Caveira, Exu Kalunga Pequena, Exu Corcunda, Exu Sete Cova and Exu Capa Preta.

The Fifth Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom of the Spirit Exu is known as The Kingdom of the Souls (Reino Das Almas). This Kingdom is ruled over and governed by the Spirit, Exu Rei Das Almas and the Spirit, Pomba Gira Das Almas. The fifth Quimbanda Kingdom of the Spirit Exu represents the spiritual energies and forces found within the mysteries of the world of the dead (afterworld).The nine Chief Guardian Exu Spirits found in the fifth Quimbanda Kingdom are; Exu Sete Lombas, Exu Pemba, Exu Maraba, Exu Curado, Exu Nove Luzes, Exu 7 Montanhas, Exu Tata Caveira, Exu Gira Mundo and Exu 7 Poeiras.

The Sixth Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom of the Spirit Exu is known as The Kingdom of the Lyre (Reino Da Lira). This Kingdom is ruled over and governed by the Spirit, Exu Rei Da Lira and the Spirit, Pomba Gira Da Lira. The fifth Quimbanda Kingdom of the Spirit Exu represents the spiritual energies and forces found within

human sexuality, earthly and physical pleasures. The nine Chief Guardian Exu Spirits found in the sixth Quimbanda Kingdom are; Exu Dos Infernos, Exu Dos Cabares , Exu Sete Liras, Exu Cigano, Exu Ze Pelintra, Exu Pagao, Exu Da Ganga, Exu Male and Exu Chama Dinheiro.

The Seventh Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom of the Spirit Exu is known as The Kingdom of the Beaches (Reino Da Praia). This Kingdom is ruled over and governed by the Spirit, Exu Rei Da Praia and the Spirit, Pomba Gira Da Praia. The seventh Quimbanda Kingdom of the Spirit Exu represents the spiritual energies and forces found in and around the ocean or bodies of water. The nine Chief Guardian Exu Spirits found in the seventh Quimbanda Kingdom are; Exu Dos Rios, Exu Das Cachoeiras, Exu Da Pedra Preta, Exu Marinheiro, Exu Do Lodo, Exu Mare, Exu Bahiano, Exu Dos Ventos and Exu Do Coco.

Knowing the spiritual entities of the Seven Lesser Quimbanda Kingdoms and understanding the meaning of each of them and how they function are key elements in practicing Brazilian Quimbanda, if you want to see fast and successful results in your spells and rituals. The following is a simple explanation of the meaning of the Seven Lesser Quimbanda Kingdoms and how they work.

Spells and cleansing rituals of the First Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom, The Kingdom of the Crossroads (Reino Das Encruzilhadas) represent the crossroads of life and everything associated with change. The spiritual requests of the First Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom and or petitions by individuals can be for either good or bad. An example of this would be an individual who has been bewitched or has had a long history of bad luck and misfortune. The spirits of the First Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom can be petitioned to open up the roads to change an individual’s luck from bad to good. Typically, spells and cleansing rituals of this kingdom are usually done and performed at the crossroads. If you are initiated into the Quimbanda religious mysteries and have an altar room set up for the spirits of the Quimbanda Trinity, then you can do the spells and cleansing rituals directly in front of your altar. After performing the spell or spiritual cleansing you can then take and deliver the completed “Trabalhos” or "Ebo" to the specified spiritual sacred location of this kingdom where the Quimbanda spirits are found.

Spells and cleansing rituals of the Second Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom, The Kingdom of the Crossings (Reino Dos Cruzeiros) represent the crossings of life and everything associated with the exchange of knowledge and our opinions. The spiritual entities of this kingdom can cause and prevent accidents, bring conflict or calmness between people, can cause ruin or bring wealth and can bring protection or tragedy to individuals. The spiritual requests of the Second Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom and or petitions by individuals can be for either good or bad. An example of this would be an individual who has been unjustly accused or spiritually attacked. The spirits of the Second Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom can be petitioned to reverse any and all types of black magic and send it back to an enemy. Typically, spells and cleansing rituals of this kingdom are usually done and performed at street crossings. If you are initiated into the Quimbanda religious mysteries and have an altar room set up for the spirits of the Quimbanda Trinity, then you can do the spells and cleansing rituals directly in front of your altar. The spiritual requests of the Third Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom and or petitions by individuals can be for either good or bad. An example of this would be an individual who is in a legal battle. The spirits of the Third Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom can be petitioned to give the individual a legal victory in a pending lawsuit or legal matter.

If you are initiated into the Quimbanda religious mysteries and have an altar room set up for the spirits of the Quimbanda Trinity, then you can do the spells and cleansing rituals directly in front of your altar. An example of this would be an individual who has recently lost a loved one in death. The spirits of the Fifth Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom can be petitioned to ensure that their soul crosses over into the spirit world. Another example of spells and cleansing rituals of the Fifth Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom would be a spiritual cleansing of a home to remove an unwanted negative spiritual entity from it. The spirits of the Fifth Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom can be petitioned to heal an individual of all types of spiritual sickness. Typically, spells and cleansing rituals of this kingdom are usually done and performed at high places such as the mountains. The spiritual requests of the Sixth Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom and or petitions by individuals can be for either good or bad. An example of this would be an individual who likes to gamble. The spirits of the Sixth Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom can be petitioned to bring success in all

games of chance. The spirits of the Sixth Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom can also be petitioned in all matters of lust and seduction. Another example of spells and cleansing rituals of the Sixth Quimbanda Kingdom would be to break the bad luck or to banish away the negative vibration from an individual who is unlucky in love or in matters of drawing money to their hands. Typically, spells and cleansing rituals of this kingdom are usually done and performed at the entrances of banks, casinos, bars and brothels. If you are initiated into the Quimbanda religious mysteries and have an altar room set up for the spirits of the Quimbanda Trinity, then you can do the spells and cleansing rituals directly in front of your altar. After completing and reciting the invocation prayer, then take a cleansing spiritual bath using the liquid herb mixture. While you are bathing, use a good spiritual soap for cleansing. (Coconut Soap, Quimbanda Ritual Soap or African Black Soap).

Do this entire ritual and bath for seven consecutive nights. On the last night after taking the last of the ritual cleansing baths, you must take an offering to the spirits, Exu Rei Dos Cruzeiros and the Spirit Pomba Gira Dos Cruzeiros and leave it by a railroad crossing.

The Third Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom of the Spirit Exu is known as The Kingdom of the Forests (Reino Das Matas). ITEMS NEEDED:





A Spiritual Food Offering: The spiritual food offering consists of the following: cooked manioc flour (Yucca Root) with toasted black beans, toasted corn, toasted peanuts and a well fried beef steak in palm oil with red and black pepper. Place all of the ritual offerings on top of the leaves of seven fresh herbs sacred to the Spirit Exu or on top of Red Poinsettia flowers. On the top of the spiritual food offerings place 7 pieces of cut oranges.


Make a spiritual bath using the seven herbs sacred to the spirits, Exu Rei Das Matas and the Spirit Pomba Gira Das Matas. The

After the liquid has cooled, strain the herbs from the liquid and place the liquid into a large bucket. Add Eau De Portugal Cologne / Agua De Florida Cologne to the liquid bath mixture.

A CLEANSING RITUAL OF THE FIFTH LESSER QUIMBANDA KINGDOM

The Fifth Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom of the Spirit Exu is known as The Kingdom of the Souls (Reino Das Almas). This Kingdom is ruled over and governed by the Spirit Exu Rei Das Almas and the Spirit Pomba Gira Reina Das Almas. The Fifth Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom of the Spirit Exu represents the spiritual energies and forces found within the mysteries of the world of the dead (afterworld).

ITEMS NEEDED:





A Spiritual Food Offering: The spiritual food offering consists of the following: popcorn mixed with palm oil and honey and well fried spareribs in palm oil with red and black pepper. Place all of the ritual offerings on top of the leaves of seven fresh herbs sacred to the Spirit Exu or on top of Red Poinsettia flowers.


Make a spiritual bath using the seven herbs sacred to the spirits, Exu Rei Das Almas and Pomba Gira Das Almas. The herbs consist of any 7 herbs chosen from the list of the herbs sacred to Exu and

After the herbs have boil, let the bath liquid cool. After the liquid has cooled, strain the herbs from the liquid and place the liquid into a large bucket. Add Eau De Portugal Cologne to the liquid bath mixture.

RITUAL PROCEDURE

Draw the spirit signatures of Exu Rei Das Almas and the Pomba Gira Das Almas on a flat surface. A CLEANSING RITUAL OF THE SEVENTH LESSER QUIMBANDA KINGDOM

The Seventh Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom of the Spirit Exu is known as The Kingdom of the Beaches (Reino Da Praia). This Kingdom is ruled over and governed by the Spirit, Exu Rei Das Sete Praias and the Spirit, Pomba Gira Reina Das Sete Praias. The Seventh Lesser Quimbanda Kingdom of the Spirit Exu represents the emotional moments, spiritual moments and the rise and fall of an individual’s life.

ITEMS NEEDED:





A Spiritual Food Offering: The spiritual food offering consists of the following: popcorn sautéed in palm oil, seven pieces of fresh coconut and honey sprinkled over the top of all of the ingredients, seven cooked manioc flour tamales wrapped in banana leaves. Place all of the ritual offerings on top of the leaves of seven fresh herbs sacred to the Spirit Exu or on top of Red Poinsettia flowers. Scatter flower petals from a white and red rose around the ritual area.

Make a spiritual bath using the seven herbs sacred to the spirits, EXU REI DAS SETE PRAIAS & POMBA GIRA REINA DAS SETE PRAIAS. The herbs consist of any 7 herbs chosen from the list of the herbs sacred to Exu and Maria Padilla Reina Pomba Gira located at the back of this book. The spiritual bath is made by boiling all of the herbs in water in a large kettle for 30 minutes. After the herbs have boil, let the bath liquid cool. After the liquid has cooled, strain the herbs from the liquid and place the liquid into a large bucket. Add Eau De Portugal Cologne to the liquid bath mixture.

RITUAL PROCEDURE

Draw the spirit signatures of Exu Rei Das Sete Praias and Pomba Gira Reina Das Sete Praias on a flat surface. Around both of the spirit signatures draw the Quimbanda Cross so that both spirit signatures are in the center of the Quimbanda Cross. Place a red candle, a black candle and a white candle in that order in the center of the Quimbanda Cross directly on top of the spirit signatures. Light the three candles before beginning the cleansing ritual in the following order, first the red candle, second the black candle and third the white candle.

HOW TO DO A QUIMBANDA SPIRITUAL CLEANSING

1. Light a white candle and present it to the following areas of the individual; top of head, their feet, their left shoulder, their right shoulder, the top of the head once again, the ground at the back of the feet, the left back shoulder, the right back shoulder.

2. Afterwards, give the candle to the individual in their hands and ask them to pray silently to Nzambi, to their ancestors and to the Quimbanda Spirits for blessings.

3. Light a cigar and blow the smoke over the body of the individual (3 times). Take a mouthful of cachaca liquor and blow it over the body of the individual. (3 times)

4. After the individual has finished praying, take the white candle and stick it into the ground near the tomb that has a headstone in the form of a cross.

5. Take a black hen/black rooster and spiritually cleanse the individual from head to toe. Give the black hen/black rooster one at a time to the individual and tell them to hold it up to their forehead and pray to their ancestors and to the Quimbanda Spirits to seek their blessings.

6. After they have finished praying, ritually sacrifice the hen, the rooster and feed the blood around the area which the individual is standing and into the Quimbanda Spirit Ngangas.

7. Place the body of the hen/rooster near the candle and pour bee’s honey over it and into the river.

8. Begin the cleansing ritual (Rompemento) by tearing the individuals clothes off and set the clothes next to the ritual area. Light a cigar and blow the smoke over the body of the individual (3 times). Take a mouthful of cachaca liquor and blow it over the body of the individual (3 times).

9. The individual will then bathe using a 21 herb bath “amaci”, and will scrub their bodies using 21 fresh herbs sacred to the spirit Exu and Maria Padilla Reina Pomba Gira. When the individual has finished, assist the individual to place on new white clothes.

THERE ARE VARIOUS METHODS OF HOW TO DO THIS SPIRITUAL CLEANSING, BUT THIS IS THE BASIC SPIRITUAL INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT HOW TO CORRECTLY DO A QUIMBANDA SPIRITUAL CLEANSING TO REMOVE ANY TYPE OF WITCHCRAFT OR TO REMOVE ANY TYPE OF NEGATIVE VIBRATION AROUND THE INDIVIDUAL THAT YOU ARE SPIRITUALLY CLEANSING.

THIS TYPE OF SPIRITUAL CLEANSING CAN ALSO BE DONE AT OTHER SACRED LOCATIONS OF THE SPIRITS DEPENDING ON THE DESIRED INTENTION.

HOW TO FEED THE EARTH - QUIMBANDA SPIRITUAL CLEANSING

1. Dig a large hole in front of the individual who will be receiving the spiritual cleansing about 2 feet deep.

2. Light a cigar and blow the smoke over the entire body of the individual who is receiving the spiritual cleansing.

3. Take a mouthful of cachaca liquor and blow it over the entire body of the individual who is receiving the spiritual cleansing.

4. The individual who is receiving the spiritual cleansing will then clean themselves with a mixture of (21) different types of dry grains (rice, beans, oatmeal, etc.). The individual cleanses themselves by grabbing a large amount of the (21) different grains in both of their hands and holds their fists tightly while they themselves are rubbing their entire body from head to toe.

5. As the individual finishes spiritually cleaning themselves using the (21) grains they will throw the grains into the hole directly in front of them.

6. The individual cleanses themselves with the grains until all of the grains are in the hole.

7. The Quimbanda Priest will then cleanse the individual using a black rooster or a black hen.

8. After the Quimbanda Priest has finished cleaning the individual with the bird, they then give it to the individual who is receiving the cleansing to hold.

9. The individual then holds the bird up to their forehead and then prays to Nzambi, the Quimbanda Spirits and to their Eggun spirits to remove any obstacles from their path.

10. After the individual has finished praying, they then give the bird back to the Quimbanda Priest who then prays to the spirits of the Earth to take away any evil and obstacles from the individual in exchange for the sacrifice and blood of the bird.

11. After the Quimbanda Priest has finished praying then they will sacrifice the bird and allow the blood of the bird to feed the ground area around the individual and also into the hole.

12. The Quimbanda Priest then throws the bird into the hole and pours bee’s honey over it.

13. The Quimbanda Priest will then do a Rompemento spiritual cleansing on the individual by tearing off their clothes and then throwing the clothes into the hole.

14. The Quimbanda Priest then blows smoke and rum over the entire body of the individual.

15. The individual is then takes a spiritual herbs bath made from 21 different herbs sacred to the spirit Exu and Maria Padilla Reina Pomba Gira, while standing directly in front of the hole.

16. After the individual has finished taking the spiritual bath the Quimbanda Priest then pours the remaining bath also into the hole.

17. The individual then puts on their new white clothes while the Quimbanda Priest covers the hole completely using dirt and forming a mound over the hole.

18. The Quimbanda Priest will then give a lighted red candle to the individual to pray over it,

19. After the individual prays over the candle they will then place it into the center of the dirt mound to remain there until it has finished burning.

20. After the individual places the candle into the dirt mound, the individual and the Quimbanda Priest will then depart from the area and to never return there.

THIS IS THE AUTHENTIC WAY TO TRADITIONALLY FEED THE EARTH FOR AN INDIVIDUAL. THIS POWERFUL SPIRITUAL CLEANSING IS DONE TO REMOVE A BAD SPIRIT FROM AROUND THE INDIVIDUAL, TO REMOVE WITCHCRAFT, TO REMOVE DEATH AND ALSO TO REMOVE SPIRITUAL SICKNESS. THE QUIMBANDA SPIRIT SIGNATURES (PONTOS RISCADOS)

In the Quimbanda magico-religious tradition, spirit signature sigils (seals) are symbols connected to a set of ideas by which spirits or deities may be summoned to awareness and controlled. The spirit signature sigils connect the spirits to our earthly realm. In the Portuguese language they are called “Pontos Riscados”. The spirit signature sigils when used in the appropriate magical manner open up the doors to world of the supernatural. They are used in divinatory practices. The spirit signature sigil itself when drawn out on the ground or drawn on an object will call forth the spirit. The spirit signature sigil also serves as a physical focus through which the Quimbanda Priest achieves the desired state of mind. Spirit signature sigils represent the secret names of spirits and deities who manifest themselves differently to each magic practitioner. Once the Quimbanda Priest has summoned the spirit or deity he may control it, if necessary, by subjecting its sigil to fire or the use of a magical sword or machete. Spirit signature sigils can also serve as amulets, talismans, or meditation tools. Quimbanda spirit signature sigils may be of various signs, such as crosses, tridents, stars associated with different deities. Quimbanda Priests often times inscribe the spirit signature sigil on ceremonial ritual objects, candles or objects of silver, brass, gold, or glass. Such spirit signatures sigils are considered to be magically powerful. Quimbanda Priests also draw these very sacred and powerful spirit signature sigils directly on the ground in front of the spirit ngangas of the Quimbanda Spirits to invoke and to summon the deities to appear and to send them to do their bidding. ABOUT THE AUTHOR

The author, Carlos Antonio De Bourbon-Galdiano-Montenegro is a member of the famous Montenegro Family originally from Eastern Europe who has been practitioners of Brazilian Quimbanda and Candomble De Congo for 148 years. In 1806, the Montenegro Family immigrated to Brazil fleeing the French invasion of Napoleon Bonaparte of the Iberian Peninsula along with the Portuguese Royal Family. While living in Brazil, the Montenegro Family became fascinated with the magical religious traditions of the Africans who were working on the Portuguese sugar cane and coffee plantations. In the year 1864, a black woman who worked on the Montenegro Family coffee plantation in the lush tropical mountains just outside of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil by the name of Paola Fernandes initiated Matilda Andrade De Bourbon-Montenegro into the Mysteries of the Congo Religion. In the 1920’s the Montenegro Family immigrated to the United States of America and brought with them the sacred mysteries of the Afro-Brazilian religious tradition of Quimbanda. In the 1920’s through the 1980’s, the "Casa De Montenegro" was governed by the Montenegro Family Matriarch, Maria Miranda De Bourbon-Montenegro until her death at the age of 98. In 1986, Carlos Antonio De Bourbon-Galdiano-Montenegro inherited the hereditary position and became the Patriarch of the Casa Montenegro Spiritual Temple. In 2003, the Casa Montenegro Spiritual Temple was organized into the American Candomble Church to preserve the unique and historical Vititi Congo Bizango religious tradition and the Brazilian Orixa Mysteries that have been uniquely practiced by the Montenegro Family of Brazil and have survived successfully for more than 148 years.

Lately, I have received a number of requests from individuals who are currently inmates in either the State or Federal correctional institutions asking for help and guidance in relation to the magico-religious spiritual tradition of Afro-Brazilian Quimbanda. When I start to receive multiple letters of requests on the same subject, it is time to write up what I know so that I can, I hope, help as many people as possible.

All of the following rituals and ceremonies should be followed exactly as they are presented here in this book if you want to experience the spiritual benefits of the Afro-Brazilian religious tradition known as Quimbanda. I hope that your spiritual journey into the religious mysteries of Quimbanda will be as enjoyable and positive as they have been for me over the past years.

The following partial manuscript was taken from the original magical Grimoire of my Great Uncle, Chico Ita-Montenegro which is now in my possession. It is a translation from its original Portuguese version. Without fear, I gazed upon the spectacular and amazing sight. As he stared into my eyes, He knew me.
