B(breakfast) L(lunch) D(dinner)Monday, September 16 - Depart from our home cities to connect to theovernight flights to Warsaw. Dinner and breakfast served aboard.

Tuesday, September 17 - Upon arrival in Warsaw, we are met by ourguide who escorts us to our bus. Before reaching our hotel we will stop atLazienski Park with its beautiful gardens to see Chopin's Monument andthe Palace on the water. After check-in we can relax and then have dinnertogether. B & D Warsaw

Wednesday, September 18 - This morning we will travel to the outskirts of Warsaw tothe Friary called iepolkalanow that was founded by St. Maximilian Kolbe in honor ofMary Immaculate. Here we will celebrate Holy Mass. Back in Warsaw and after lunchon our own in the area of Market Square, we will tour this Capital city, visiting Old Townwith its picturesque houses and open air cafes on cobblestone streets, and the RoyalCastle Square, Zygmunt's Column, the Cathedral of St. John, the Old Town Square, theBarbican and the City Walls. We will pause at the Jewish Ghetto Memorial, dedicated tothe victims of Nazi brutality, and drive through the large square where Blessed John PaulII celebrated Mass. Next we stop in St. Stanislaus Kostka church, where the martyredSolidarity priest Fr. Popieluszko served and is buried. Tonight we will have a welcomedinner at a local restaurant. B & D Warsaw

Thursday, September 19 - We depart for Czestochowa, Poland's worldfamous Shrine to Our Lady, known as the Black Madonna. Upon arrival weare given a guided tour by a Pauline brother or sister. Our lunch is includedtoday. This afternoon we will celebrate Holy Mass in the Basilica where thesacred image of the Black Madonna is venerated. There will be free time for ourown devotions and activities. Dinner is served in the hotel. Late this eveningwe return to the Basilica for the ceremony of the Veiling of the Icon.

Friday, September 20 - Today we drive to the foothills of the Tatra Moun-tains, where peasants still live in wooden houses and bears roam wild in the forests. We marvel at the superb vistasas we reach Zakopane, gateway to Poland's most popular ski areas. Blessed John Paul II also skied here. Abeautiful new church, Our Lady of Fatima, richly decorated with hand carved wood by the town's folk ingratitude to God for saving the Pope from an assassination attempt, is the place for our celebration of Holy Mass.Pope John Paul II dedicated this shrine in 1989. We will take a cable car up Mt. Kasporawy for a great view of theTatras central Europe's highest mountains. We check in to our hotel in Zakopane and enjoy dinner together thisevening. B & D Zakopane

Saturday, September 21 - This morning we drive to Krakow, thegem of southern Poland and a treasure trove ofhistorical cultural interest.Upon arrival we celebrate Holy Mass in St. Mary Basilica, whichcontains Wit Stwosz's masterpiece. A full luncheon will be provided ina restaurant in city center. This afternoon we are given a tour of thiscity, which for centuries was the residence of Polish Kings. See theMarket Square, the 14th century Jagiellonian University, Alma MaterofSt. John Cantius, Copernicus and Blessed John Paul II. We visit theWawel Royal Castle and the Cathedral. Pope John Paul II wasCardinal-Archbishop of this city. This evening we are free to explorethe city and dine on our own. B & L Krakow

Sunday, September 22 - This morning we drive to Auschwitz, and visit the Naziconcentration camp, which took the lives of countless thousands, including St.Maximilian Kolbe. In an act of selfless love, the great saint offered himself as a re-placement for a fellow condemned prisoner. Stopping for lunch on our own, we thencontinue on to Wadowice, the home town of Blessed Pope John Paul II, where we willsee the church of his baptism and his home, which is now a small museum. We celebrateHoly Mass in his parish Church of Our Lady. Back in the heart of Krakow, we canenjoy this delightful city and it shopping. We return to our hotel this evening for dinnerand ovenight. Monday, September 23 - We start the day with a visit to Lagiewniki, Convent of theSisters of Mercy where St. Sister Faustina lived and died. We celebrate Holy Mass in the

Basilica, and will have time to pray at the the saint'stomb. We continue on to Wieliczka, the oldest saltmine in Europe, and will discover its underground won-ders carved in rock salt. Back in Krakow we plan todrive by Schindler's factory, recalling the many lives hesaved during Nazi occupation. We have the balance ofthe day at leisure. We gather together at our hotel fordinner. Tuesday, September 24 - We travel northwest, reaching the border of the Czech Republic en route to Prague.In Velehrad we stop and celebrate Holy Mass at the Shrine of Saints Cyril and Methodius. These two Byzan-tine Greek brothers were born in Thessaloniki in the 9th century, and became Christian missionaries among the

Slavic people of the Great Moravia and Pannonia. In 862 both brothers began the work'4 which gives them their historical importance. That year Prince Ratislav of Great Moravia

requested that the Emperor Michael III and the Patriarch Photius send missionaries toevangelize his Slavic subjects. Through their religious teaching and zeal they began theconversion of all Slavs, for which they received the title "Apostles to the Slavs." Aftertheir deaths, their followers continued their missionary work among the other EasternEuropean Slavs. We arrive in Prague, capital city of Bohemia, once declared by Goethe tobe "the jewel in the crown of the world." At our hotel we will enjoy dinner together.

Wednesday, September 25 - This morning's tour of Prague will includeHardacany Castle, St.Vitus Cathedral, the Royal Palace with a visitinside its castle, and a walk through the artistic neighborhood of MalaStrana (,Little Quarter"). We celebrate Holy Mass in the church of Our

- Lady of Victories. There, too, we will venerate the Infant of PragueStatue. Crossing the famous Charles Bridge, lined on both side by reli-gious statues, we enter the Old Town Square. Our sightseeing continuesin Old Town Square, site of the famous l S" century astronomical clock-a fascinating display of dials and hands and figures. Below the neo-Gothic

Old Town Hall we see 27 marble crosses set into the ground. Nearby we see a gothic church dedicated to OurLady, the 14th century Tyn church, where the astronomer Tycho Brahe is buried. We can take time for lunch onour own and have some free time for exploration and perhaps some shopping. Our Farewell Dinner this eveningwill feature Folklore entertainment. B & D Prague

Thursday, September 26 - This morning we board a flight that connects in Frankfurt to a transatlantic flight tothe U.S. We clear Customs in Chicago and continue on to St. Louis, arriving home this same day.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONSRESERVATIONS AND PAYMENT: Travel Tyme requiresa deposit of $400 per person that is to be sent with the applica-tion at the time of booking. This deposit forms a part of your finalpayment, which must be received by us no later than 65 daysprior to departure. Seats are limited on this Pilgrimage, so wesuggest an early booking.

CANCELLATIONS: Pleasemake all cancellations in writing.The following cancellation charges apply: If cancelled 120 days ormore prior to departure, a $75 administration fee is charged. Ifcancelled 119-61 days prior, $300 penalty will be charged. If can-celled 60-15 days prior, a $600 penalty will be charged. If can-celled 14 days or less, the total amount of the trip will be forfeited.In addition, once the airline tickets are issued, about 40 days priorto departure, the cost is non-refundable (approximately $1378).

TRAVEL INSURANCE: We strongly recommend the pur-chase of travel insurance to recuperate the penalties charged forcancellation for health reasons. You would be fully covered, ex-cept if pre-existing conditions are evident. Even so, the insurerwaives the exclusion for pre-existing conditions, if insurance ispurchased within 15 days of deposit received by Travel Tyme.
