ExceptionalFinishes

Rich and Complex Hot Patina

Each SPI Gallery art work starts its life as a clay sculpture, and is then cast in brass using the lost wax technique (the same method used in casting fine jewelry) for unparalleled dimensional detail. The sculpture is then meticulously hand finished using our proprietary hot patina finishes.

Our patina artists heat the brass surface with blow torches and apply secret formulations of chemicals that react to the metal using various techniques, one layer at a time. Several coats of hand waxing result in a vibrant, deep, layered finish with complex subtleties that no other finishing method can achieve. Due to this hand finishing process no two sculptures are the same. Each piece is unique with its own colors.

Imperial FinishOur imperial finish is carefully hand painted on brass, followed by a proprietary lacquer formula and hand polishing. This finish imparts a coppery glow and deep sheen that looks extraordinary in the light.

This traditional museum look appears

as though the sealife are swimming

below the surface of the ocean.

Reflections and contrasts appear

and are accented by small

brass highlights. Some of

the pieces have larger brass

highlights giving them an almost

retro style.

Many of the sculptures are

mounted to a green or black marble

base to complete the package. Your

How We Work

SPI Gallery is a team of talented 2-D artists, sculptors, and craftsmen, inspired by the natural beauty that surrounds us and dedicated to expressing that beauty in extraordinary sculptures.

Each SPI Gallery original begins life as 2-D concept art designed by our team of talented artists in Northern California. Our master sculptors breathe life into the artwork with up to weeks of hand sculpting in modeling clay in our own atelier.

Each part is cast in our own foundry using either the lost wax or sand casting method. Artisans take the various cast parts and carefully weld them together. After up to several days of welding, sanding, and polishing, the metal sculpture takes its final form and the patina artists then have their turn.

New customers & order minimumsWe welcome new accounts upon credit verification and approval. Please allow 2 to 4 weeks to process credit applications. Orders can be processed immediately with a credit card. The minimum opening order is $200. Minimum on re-orders is only $100. SPI Home orders may be combined with SPI Gallery orders.

Methods Of PaymentWe gladly accept the following forms of payment:• Visa / Mastercard / Amer ican ExpressCredit Card orders will be billed at time of shipping. All orders must show complete billing address and phone number associated with the credit card.• Cash / PrepaidCash orders can be shipped freight collect or with shipping charges payable within 30 days. • CreditApproved and established accounts are due Net 30 from the date of shipping. Sorry, no C.O.D.

ShippingWe make every effort to ship your order quickly. All orders are shipped directly from our warehouse in South San Francisco, California. Please allow up to two weeks for delivery of items in stock. Please note that items ordered together are not necessarily shipped together.

BackordersBackordered items will be shipped as they become available, until customer’s specified cancellation date or 90 days after original ship date - whichever comes first. Please specify on your order if no backorders will be accepted. Backorders below $50 will be cancelled automatically to minimize high freight cost.

Earned Freight AllowancesGround shipments within the US (48 contiguous states) over $500 may qualify for freight concessions according to our Freight Allowance Policy. Please call for details.

Drop ShipmentsSubject to the terms below, any single item over $75 may be drop shipped for an additional handling charge plus the cost of shipping. Please call for details. Product sizes & weights can be found at http://reseller.spi-home.com/SPIproductFactsAll.xls

We cannot provide freight quotes. We suggest you contact carriers directly. Shipping dates and delivery times on drop shipments cannot be guaranteed.

MAP PolicyAll SPI items are covered under a MAP (minimum advertised price) policy. This policy mandates that no SPI item can be advertised to retail for less than 2.2 times the stated wholesale cost. Returns / ClaimsDamagesWe do our best to ensure safe arrival of your orders. Unfortunately, damages do sometimes occur during shipping. If you receive a damaged shipment, please take the following measures:• Immediately note any damages to boxes, notify the driver of the damages, and retain the original packing materials for possible inspection.• Immediately call the carrier (UPS, for example) to report the damages and receive claim instructions.• Notify SPI Customer Service of any damage.

ClaimsReport all claims to SPI Customer Service within 30 days of receipt of shipment. Credit will only be given for returned merchandise when prior authorization has been obtained directly from SPI.

Size, Color, And Specifications We take pride in the quality and consistency of all of our products. SPI’s craftsmen work hard to refine the unique beauty of natural materials, such as marble, but each piece is very different and made by hand. Therefore, color, size and texture may vary creating a truly unique piece of art like none other in your store or gallery. Some items may include the SPI logo hangtags, country of origin stickers, and/or other SPI insignia. Spheres, stands, flowers, candles, and other props pictured with items are not included unless otherwise stated.
