‘Change’ can be difficult and sometimes it is helpful to confide in
someone who understands what it means to become an adult
learner, the common obstacles and hurdles you may come across
(i.e. time management, anxiety, stress management,
juggling family/work/school) or any related issues which could impede
your success here at Hodges University. You are not alone. The
Counseling Office at Hodges University provides confidential brief
counseling and therapy to support and empower students to find the
resources to optimize their emotional, interpersonal, and intellectual
development.

Congratulations to the
Fisher School of
Technology Society. In
August, they partnered
up with California
Pizza Kitchen at
Coconut Point in Estero
to raise money for the
local chapter of Autism
Speaks. Supporters
brought in a flyer to the
restaurant on August
10th,11th, or 12th, and
20% of their entire
purchase went back to the Society so that they
could purchase
technology devices for
children with autism.
There was a
tremendous response
all weekend, and after
it was all said and done,
the Technology Society
raised $800.00!!! Way to go to everyone that
promoted and
participated in this
awesome event!
THANK YOU!!

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at the Stock Market, but resisted because of the
risk of losing your money due to a lack of knowledge and understanding about stock
trading?? The Johnson School of Business Club under the direction of Professor Ted Farah
is introducing a new game in the Fall Term that gives you a real experience and
understanding of the market without risking a dime. So, get a group of 3 or 4 students
together and join us on this journey as we research, learn, buy, sell, trade, and follow the
real market and real stock prices with $100,000 in ‘funny money’. This will be an
incredible educational opportunity for everyone that participates. Oh, did I mention the
prizes??? That’s right, it’s still a game, and there has to be some winners in a game...
For more information and details about
signing a team up, you can contact:
Geoff Moser, [email protected]
