    Formatting Explained

efore you start please ensure you are familiar with all the printer controls and user

    nctions.

o start you need to understand that a format is constructed of a number of fields.

ach field is set up by a series of numbers called parameters which are a basic type of

    ogram language.

needs to be understood that the field if thought of as a rectangular box with the

ne of information going through it. There is a reference point which the field

oves around. This is the top left corner as viewed.

    X

    12345678

You can rotate your field in steps of 90 degrees. The datum point is measured

from the front right hand corner of the print head.

    Copying Fields

is feature allows you to gather data and use it in more than one field. Also this will allow you to create

    quential barcodes.

stly create all the operative fields including the one you want to copy into. If you have a field that is not

ing to print it may help to have it print whilst setting up your format then alter its vertical position to00) later. This will help if for any reason you have difficulty getting it all to work.
