Graduate School, $r%$ominador *% )guirre, +r%' highly esteemed
faculty of the Graduate Schoolof the Eastern Visayas State
University, parents, spouses and loved ones,guests and visitors,
good afternoon%
n -ehalf of the candidates for the degree $octor of #hilosophy,
e.press my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the University
for providing us the opportunity to attain our goals and reali/e
our aspirationsin life% )fter years of toil and hard 0or1, and
studies under the tutelage of the charismatic and highly
intellectual faculty of this university, 0e havefinally reached the
ape. of success of our endeavors%
"he degree 0hich the University 0ill confer on us 0ill provide
uscertain rights and privileges% evertheless, it entails greater
responsi-ilityand e.pectations as 0e assume the tas1s that may -e
assigned to us inour respective agencies and organi/ations%
"he e.pectations, though, are not that simple, for from this
dayon0ard, 0e shall -ear the o-ligation to uphold the name of this
institution,the Eastern Visayas State University% "he 3uality of
our management, thesoundness of our decisions, the o-4ectivity and
the morality of our actionsare -ut the reflections of the 1ind of
training that 0e received from thisuniversity% t is therefore an
imperative in our part to do our -est ineverything that 0e do and
sho0 that indeed the Eastern Visayas StateUniversity is highly
capa-le of training and producing 3uality graduates0ho do not only
e.cel in this part of the region -ut can also -e at par 0iththe
national and even 0ith the glo-al arena%

our almamater, is for us to serve this country and contri-ute to

leave thecountry to 0or1 a-road' this has -een a constant reminder

men% 6et not the title that0ill -e attached to our name -e a
hindrance for us in reaching out others-ut rather, let it -e an
instrument that 0ill ena-le us to ma1e this countryachieve an
authentic social change and development%
