My rst sales job was working for a company called Research Advantage that sold vacation packages. As an inside sales representative I learned the basic of lead generation, prospecting, and soft selling. After a couple of months with the help of my supervisor, I learned how to increase my sales and became top inside sales representative for 3 consecutive months. I always wanted to work for a company that sold technology, and I got the opportunity to work at Best Buy through a referral. I started as a seasonal employee in the media department. I work as hard as I could to prove myself to management. Only a handful of the seasonal employees got hired permanently after the holiday season.season.

Moreover, I worked for Best Buy for a year and got promoted to full-time which is consider a privilege. A full-time employee gets a pay raise, benets, are eligible for a scholarship, and manage the part-time employees. Furthermore, I had another opportunity to apply for a junior supervisor position of the computer department. I prepared myself as much as I could by reading books and talking to managers that had been junior supervisors. I was then offer the position of the junior supervisor for the computer department. After two years of being the junior supervisor for the computer department, management offer me a position that was opening for Geek Squad supervisor which I accepted. WorkingWorking at Best Buy really developed my interpersonal skills; furthermore, I learned how to managed employees and implement strategies to increase the store prot margin.

At the same time I was a Geek Squad supervisor I started attending classes at Florida International University. I was a full-time student and working more than 40 hours a week, so I had to choose one or the other. I found a new job as a front desk assistant for the property manager at the Colonnade Condominium through Marksman Security agency. This was the perfect job for me to continue studying because the property manager let me study and do my homework early in the morning when I wasn’t busy. I utilize my time wisely, and I started taking my classes online; it was like I was being paid toto go to school. Furthermore, during the early morning down time 7 - 9AM I also started learning about the stock market, and absorbed the investment strategy of the top gurus such as Benjamin Graham, Warren Buffett, Peter Lynch, William O’Neil and other less known. I also further my learning by taking online self-taught courses with Amedy and CBT Nuggets in the subjects of professional selling, network security, and cloud computing. Moreover, I read a bunch of books regarding business development, career development, personal selling, technology, entrepreneurship, and self-help.
