Discard clothing and other absorbent materials that have been drenched or heavily contaminated with this product’s concentrate. Do not reuse them. USER SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONSUsersShould:•Washhandsbeforeeating,drinking,chewinggum,usingtobaccoorusingthetoilet.•Removeclothingimmediatelyifpesticidegetsinside.Thenwashthoroughlyandputoncleanclothing.•RemovePPEimmediatelyafterhandlingthisproduct.Washtheoutsideofglovesbeforeremoving.Assoonaspossible,washthoroughlyandchangeintocleanclothing.

AGRICULTURAL USE REQUIREMENTSUse this product only in accordancewith its labeling andwith theWorker ProtectionStandard, 40CFR part 170. ThisStandardcontainsrequirementsfortheprotectionofagriculturalworkersonfarms,forests,nurseries,andgreenhouses,andhandlersofagriculturalpesticides.Itcontainsrequirementsfortraining,decontamination,notification,andemergencyassistance.ItalsocontainsspecificinstructionsandexceptionspertainingtothestatementsonthislabelaboutPersonalProtectiveEquipment(PPE)andrestricted-entryinterval.TherequirementsinthisboxonlyapplytousesofthisproductthatarecoveredbytheWorkerProtectionStandard.

Donotenterorallowworkerentryintotreatedareasduringtherestrictedentryinterval(REI)of24hours.

RepeateduseofVOLUNTEER(orsimilarpostemergencegrassherbicideswiththesamemodeofaction)mayleadtotheselec-tionofnaturallyoccurringbiotypesthatareresistanttotheseproductsinsomegrassspecies.Biotypesarenaturallyoccurringindividualsofaspeciesthatareidenticalinappearancebuthaveslightlydifferentgeneticcompositions;themodeofactionofaherbicideisthechemicalinteractionthatinterruptsabiologicalprocessnecessaryforplantgrowthanddevelopment.

Ifpoorperformanceoccursandcannotbeattributedtoadverseweatherorapplicationconditions,aresistantbiotypemaybepresent.Whereothercontrolstrategies,suchascroprotation,mechanicalremoval,andotherclassesofherbicidesarenotusedinfieldsfromyeartoyear,thisismostlikelytooccur.

Contactofthisproductwithdesirablegrasscrops,suchascorn,rice,sorghum,smallgrains,orturfshouldbeavoidedastheseandothergrasscropswillbeinjuredorkilled.Minorleafspottingcanoccurontreatedplantsundercertainenvironmentalconditions.Newfoliageisnotaffected.

SYMPTOMS OF CONTROLThetreatedgrassweedsshowareductioninvigorandgrowth.Earlychlorosis/necrosisofyoungerplanttissueisfollowedbyaprogressivecollapseoftheremainingfoliage.Dependingongrassspeciestreatedandenvironmentalconditions,symptomswillgenerallybeobservedin7to14daysafterapplication.

APPLICATION INFORMATIONTimingMakeapplicationofVOLUNTEERpostemergencetoactivelygrowinggrassesaccordingtotheratetablerecommendations.Donotmakeapplicationtograssplantsstressedbyinsufficientmoistureorhotorcoldtemperature.Applicationstograssplantsexceedingrecommendedgrowthstagescouldresultinunsatisfactorycontrol.Donotmakeapplicationswhenthisoccurs.

Whenirrigationisusedtosupplementlimitedrainfallinaridregions,VOLUNTEERshouldbeappliedassoonaspossible,afteran irrigation(within7days).Asecondapplicationof thisproductwillgenerallyprovidemoreeffectivecontrolofperennialgrassweedthanasingleapplicationinaridregions.Applyasecondapplicationtoactivelygrowinggrass2to3weeksafteremergenceofnewgrowth.

Cultivationoftreatedgrasses7dayspriortoorwithin7daysafterapplicationofthisproductcouldreduceweedcontrol.DONOTAPPLYifrainfallisexpectedwithinonehourascontrolmaybereduced.

ADJUVANT OR CROP OIL CONCENTRATE RECOMMENDATIONSAlfalfa, Cotton, Dry Shelled Bean & Pea, Edible Podded Legume Vegetables, Peanuts (including perennial), Potato, Soy-bean, Succulent Bean & Pea, Sugar Beet and Sunflower:Alwaysuseacropoilconcentrate*at1.0qt/Abygroundor1%v/v,butnotlessthan1pt/A,inthefinishedsprayvolumebyair.1-to-2qts/Aliquidfertilizer(10-34-0,28%Nor32%N)oranequivalentamountofspraygradeammoniumsulfate(AMS)(2.5to4.0lbs/A)canbeaddedtoVOLUNTEERapplicationsinadditiontotherecommendedrateofcropoilconcentrate.TheadditionofAMShasshownimprovedgrasscontrolfordifficulttocontrolspeciesincluding:quackgrass,redrice,rhizomeJohnsongrass,volunteercereals,volunteercornandwildoats.
