Miscellaneous Errors & Omissions (Claims Made)

Miscellaneous E&O insurance provides coverage for damages and defense costs arising from a wrongful act in the

performance of or failure to perform insured services (professional duties). Anyone can make a mistake, fail to

complete a transaction, miss a deadline, or simply make a bookkeeping error. For this reason, even the most

conscientious professionals and companies become defendants in expensive and protracted legal battles. As a

professional in the service industry, you have E&O exposure and need to protect your assets.

Cyber Liability Insurance

Cyber Innovation, Leadership and Expertise for 20+ Years

NAS has been at the forefront of cyber liability insurance for over twenty years, having led the development of privacy protection insurance in the healthcare industry. Today, we insure thousands of companies and our in-house claims experts handle hundreds of cyber incidents each year across a range of financial services, retail, hospitality, educational, and governmental organizations. NAS offers cyber liability solutions for a broad range of businesses. Our e-MD™ Cyber Liability is custom-tailored for healthcare organizations. Our NetGuard Plus™ provides comprehensive coverage for businesses in every sector. The following pages provide a summary of our cyber liabiity insurance solutions including:

Insurance Coverage

Cyber Risk Management

Breach Response & Claims Handling

Risk Scenarios NetGuard™ Plus and our e-MD™ Cyber programs are comprised of 8 core components:

Network Security & Privacy Insurance – Covers third party claims arising out of a breach of the insured’s Network

Security or other private information. Includes coverage for both online and offline information, virus attacks,

denial of service, and failure to prevent transmission of malicious code.

Privacy Breach Response Costs – Includes all reasonable legal, public relations, advertising, IT forensic, call

center, credit monitoring, identity theft restoration and postage expenses incurred by the insured in response to

a privacy breach.

BrandGuard™ - Coverage for lost revenue as a result of a cyber breach and the resulting customer notification or

adverse media.

Network Asset Protection (including Non-physical Business Interruption) – Coverage for all reasonable and

necessary sums required to recover and/or replace data that is compromised, damaged, lost, erased or

corrupted. Coverage also includes business interruption and extra expense coverage for income loss as a result

of the total or partial interruption of the insured’s computer system.

Regulatory Defense & Penalties – Coverage for defense costs and fines/penalties for violations of privacy

regulations, including, but not limited to, HIPAA, Red Flags Rule, and the Hi-Tech Act.

Multimedia Insurance – Coverage for both online and offline media, including claims alleging

copyright/trademark infringement, libel/slander, plagiarism, and personal injury.

Cyber Extortion - Will pay extortion expenses and extortion monies as a direct result of a credible cyber extortion

threat.

Cyber Terrorism - Coverage for income loss and interruption expenses as a result of the total or partial

interruption of the insured’s computer system due to a cyber terrorism attack.

BrandGuard™ from NAS Insurance gives you breach response, plus coverage for a loss in profits during recovery. Calculate the direct costs of IT forensic investigations, patient notification, the legal expenses and government fines. Then add in the indirect costs of losing customers, a damaged reputation and a hit to profitability. If your insurance only handles the breach, you’re not getting full cyber coverage. BrandGuard™ protects your profits while you restore your business and your reputation.
