Heritage Contact Flooring, LLC is a new company, but our experience goes back many years. Founded in 1916 as Vulcan Asphalt Co. Inc.,the company and its successors have been active in the business of furnishing and installing flooring materials. In 1960, Vulcan Asphalt changed it’s name to Vulcan Floors, Inc. to better reflect our business. Vulcan completed thousands of flooring jobs through the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Projects included schools, colleges, hospitals, gymnasiums, retail stores and housing developments throughout Western New York. In 1997, Vulcan Floors Inc. was sold to Shaw Industries of Dalton, Georgia. The entire management team, office staff and installation employees became part of Shaw Contract Flooring, later to be called Spectra Contract Flooring. The Buffalo office was known as Spectra, Western New York. In December of 2005, we purchased the company from Shaw Industries & Heritage Contract Flooring was born. Our ‘heritage’ continues on. At Heritage, we attribute our longetivity & success in this business to many things; our ability to listen and communicate, our foresight to incorporate the lastest technology, our understanding of the everchanging regulations and building codes, our capacity to see and plan for the entire scope of a project, our dedication to the family values this company was founded on and quite simply to our old fashioned committment to exceptional quality and craftsmanship.

Over the years, we have been able to maintain relationships with some of the industry’s top suppliers of flooring material including Armstrong Industries, Shaw Contract Group, Lee’s Carpet, Roppe Rubber Products and C&A Carpet to name a few. Our goal is to continue the company’s history through hard work, honesty, integrity, flooring knowledge and providing service to our customers and suppliers for many, many years to come.
