WHO WE ARE ?AAPI was founded in the midst of challenges that physicians of Indian Origin faceddue to cultural barriers and bias against international medical graduates. Thosebarriers created obstacles for immigration and licensing opportunities. In 1982 a groupof concerned medical professionals founded the American Association of Physiciansof Indian Origin with a simple goal to work for a level playing field for the internationalmedical graduates.

Today, the organization is a dynamic body, spearheading legislative agendas andinfluencing the advancement of medical care in the US and globally throughadvocating for increasing physician work force, participating in national healthinitiatives such as obesity prevention and investing in global health education.

AAPI serves as an umbrellaorganization for a network ofover 160 component chapters;alumni, state and regionalchapter associations, andspecialty organizations. TheseAssociations are located in 12regions across the United States,each with a Regional Director onthe AAPI Executive Committeewho is responsible forcommunication and coordinationof local events and activities.

We willalso include 1-2 sessions that will count for Ethics CMEthat can fulfill mandatory medical licensure renewalrequirements in most states.

CANCELLATION POLICYCancellations must be made in writing to the AAPI Executive Office. Cancellations that are received on orbefore June 15, 2021 will be refunded 50% of their payment. Cancellations that are received on or after June16, 2021 are not eligible for any refunds. Postmark by US Postal Authorities will be the determining factor.

CANCELLATION DEADLINESTill May 31, 2021: $500.00 will be retained and the balance amount paid will be refunded.From June 1 to 15, 2021: 50% of the amount paid will be retained and the balance amount paid will berefunded.From June 16, 2021 onward: No refunds.
