Specially designed unique Graduate MBA Program forKorea and Asia Business Studies (KABS)
Hanyang University Graduate School International Business MBA Program offers specialized track for Korea and Asia Business major, designed for providing regionally specialized management professionals education for overseas students. Korea and Asia Business track is initiated based on Hanyang MBA’s extensive academic and industrial network across the Asian business and academic institutions, as well as Korean industry affiliations, which has been cultivated through last decade of Hanyang MBA endeavors.

01 | Aim of KABS (Korea and Asia Business Studies)
Hanyang University International MBA KABS (Korea and Asia Business Studies) track aims to cultivate specialists ideally suited for management success in Korea and Asia businesses. The KABS track at Hanyang University will provide students business knowledge, experience, and network in Korea and Asian countries. KABS also facilitates students to acquire cultural and societal experience of Korea and Asia, building a strong foundation for you to become a regional business expert.
02 | KABS Education Specialties
Students will experience how world-class Korea firms evolved from local-based companies mainly positioned in the information & telecommunications and manufacturing sectors. The distinctive managerial strategies embedded in Korean enterprises and an overall understanding of the Korean industry together with Korean culture and labor management will provide essential managerial insights for those seeking potential business opportunities in Korea and Asia. KABS strives for uniqueness in business education by broadening the scope of Korean business studies to promising Asian countries at one location: Hanyang University.
Faculty members of KABS include distinguished scholars from diverse Asian universities attained by collaborative academic networks through many years of experience in the Hanyang University International MBA YES (Young Entrepreneur Spirit) track. KABS students may join the overseas Asian business field study trip held regularly in the summer of the YES track. Furthermore, KABS offer elective courses from the Master of Science program in business school to elaborate core management skil ls such as international management, corporate strategy, organization theory, supply chain management, and many others. Joint course offerings with Hanyang Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS) Korean major also provides indisputable learning edge regarding Korea and Asia’s cultural uniqueness.

04 | Academic Requirements for KABS track
● Students should complete 45 credits, equivalent to 15 courses in general, to earn an MBA degree.
● Students will normally take 12 credits per semester to complete the graduate requirements in two years.
● Each student shall take an Independent Study course (3 credits) to complete concentration term paper for the customized Korean and Asian business topic under the guidance of advising professor.
● Course offerings could vary per semester for diversity, and student could optionally attend 3 credit Overseas Asian local business field study trip during the summer.

● Requirements for ApplicationInternational students with foreign citizenship who have completed the entire elementary, middle, high school and undergraduate education outside Korea (Bachelor’s degree required for Master’s program admission)
● Scholarships OpportunitiesHanyang International MBA KABS (Korea and Asia Business Studies) track offers premier financial aids for qualified foreign students. We endeavor to support virtually all foreign students with the partial tuition waver scholarships depending on applicant’s academic qualifications.
