Sacyr is active in 20 countries on five continents. At present, 55% of our works and services portfolio involves international projects, representing 41% of total turnover.
In construction, the works portfolio represents 80% of the total.
Our increased international presence, achieved through the various business areas which constitute
Sacyr, has led to a turnover from foreign business in excess of 1.4 billion euros.
The internationalisation of construction activity ensures our future activity, with over 36 months of
activity guaranteed.
We are currently undertaking civil engineering and building projects in: Italy, Panama, Portugal, Angola, Chile, Costa Rica, Colombia, Brasil and Irlanda. Our ongoing international

Sacyr’s construction division was created more than 25 years ago and from the very outset has worked on all major infrastructure projects in Spain.
From the first road transport projects, such as the Alhama – Puerto Lumbreras motorway in
the Murcia Region, through to the most recent projects such as construction of the AP-46
Las Pedrizas – Málaga motorway in Andalusia, the Barbanza motorway in Galicia or the
execution of various sections of the M-30 project in Madrid, Sacyr Construcción has carried out each project with strict criteria and expertise.
Our current international expansion enables us to collaborate with public agencies beyond the
Spanish borders. We have locally-based teams undertaking works in Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Chile and Costa Rica. Thanks to the synergies within our company, Sacyr
carries out large-scale projects which are then incorporated into the concessionary business.

Sacyr Construcción and Somague boast over 60 years’ experience in the construction of maritime projects. Such projects have been carried out in Spain, Portugal, the Azores, Madeira,
Morocco, Algeria, Angola, Cape Verde, Mozambique, Panama, Brazil, Venezuela and Australia.
Our accumulated expertise has allowed us to construct all types of port and water infrastructures: sea walls,
underwater pipelines, shipyards, ports, dams, purification plants and desalination plants.
Today, Sacyr is the main partner in the construction project for the Third Set of Locks on the Panama Canal.

Activity relating to the construction of drinking-water, desalination and purification plants is undertaken within the framework of many different projects and in partnership with Sadyt; a company specialising in water engineering and pertaining to our Services Division.
In this regard, we should highlight the construction of a desalination plant for the AngloAmerican Mantoverde
mining company in Chile. Prior to that, purification plants were constructed in Aranjuez and Beniel along with
desalination plants in Aguilas and Cuevas de Almanzora (Murcia).
