equipment in-house at our head office facility.

With a comprehensive range of operational

equipment including Granular Activated Carbon

Solution

TRM offers the thermal remediation technique of Electrical Resistance Heating (ERH).

ERH uses the flow of alternating current electricity to heat soil and groundwater and

evaporate contaminants. Electric current is passed through a targeted soil volume

between subsurface electrodes.

The resistance to electrical flow causes the formation of heat and a rise in temperature,

approaching water boiling point.

Further energy causes a phase change and forms steam to remove volatile

contaminants

A safe, effective and proven technology in all lithologies and most contaminants

TRM owns and operates ATEX-rated remediation equipment for volatile atmospheres

and routinely conducts groundwater treatment projects for a range of clients.

Free and dissolved phase contaminants are treated by physical, chemical and

biological methods including carbon-separation pods, oil-water separators, vacuum
