Special Tools, Fixtures and Equipment

In addition to the special tools, fixtures, and equipment as mentioned in the Zodiac AirCargo Equipment CMMs, the following gives a list of required, resp. recommended tools, fixtures and equipment to be used in a Part 145 certified ULD repair shop. Assembly Tools (required) Part Number

1. Nose assembly for Huck Magna-Grip lockbolt (¼” bolts) P/N 827017 Alternative: the P/N for alternative Huck nose assembly, e.g. P/N 99-1477UK or 99-3204, might depend on the pneumatic installation tool model. Pls. check with Huck before use. Other tooling listed below is recommended for ease of assembly, but alternatively locally available tools may be used. Assembly Tools (recommended) Part Number 2. Pneumatic lockbolt (¼” Magna -Grip) installation tool P/N 827016 incl. nose assembly 3. Pneumatic lockbolt installation tool without nose assembly P/N 827011 (see figure f) Alternative: other pneumatic lockbolt installation tools may be used, e.g. Huck P/N LH-224, 2025, 212 or equivalent tools from other manufacturers 4. Pneumatic blind rivet tool (¼” blind rivet, MONOBOLT, MAGNA -LOK) P/N 9-053-08 (see figure g) 5. Assembly tool (recommendation use 16 pcs) P/N 827070 (see figure a) 6. Collar break off tool P/N 827005 (see figure b) 7. Leister Triac PID P/N P0000039 (for 120V) (see figure c) P/N P0000040 (for 230V) 8. Leister wide slot nozzle 40 mm P/N P0000041 (see figure d) 9. Leister one-arm pressure silicone roller 40 mm P/N P0000042 (see figure e) There is no need for further special tools, jigs and gauges.

� Air consumption per bolt: 1.1 ltr / 0.04 cu.ft

Standard Work Shop Equipment Normal equipment in use for metal sheet work is required as well as:

1. Air pressure system/compressor

2. Drilling machine

3. Pneumatic hand tool for solid rivets, blind rivets and special bolts.

4. Plasma cutting machine for aluminium panel sheets (easiest methods to cut out damaged

area and patches)

5. WIG welding machine

6. Power saw

7. Sewing machine (for repairs/replacement of fabric and webbings)

8. Silicone dispenser

9. Electronic scale

10. Standard set of spanners for metric bolts & nuts

Other standard tools or equipment might be required, depending on the local situation.
