SPECIAL PRAYERS This week we continue to pray: The parishioners and their families. Pray for the country and the government for calm and direc- tion going forward. We pray that the voice of God’s people might be heard. We ask God to lead this nation in the way of justice and peace. Pray for Simangaliso as he prepares himself for the discern- ment conference in May. We pray for more calling to the ordained ministry. Pray for God’s Church to always remain a place of solace. We pray for our Parish as we prepare for the Easter Service. We lift up Bishop Steve as he leads us in these services. We pray for young people with all their challenges. WELCOME TO HOLY CROSS: We extend a very warm welcome to you all and thank you for making this worship a reality with your presence as we together celebrate the triumphal entry of our Lord into Jerusalem. Your presence means a lot to us. If you are here as a visitor and would like to know more about Holy Cross, please speak to the priest and/or the Parish Councillors at the table next to the choir. Kindly find us on Facebook, Twitter and check us out at www.hcross.org.za. SPECIAL WELCOME: We welcome today amongst us the Dioce-san Bishop; the Right Rev Dr Steve Moreo and mama Liziwe and family. Thank you for sharing this special weekend with us. We also welcome also the Thuthuka Orchestra accompanying our Church Choir today on this special Day of the Resurrection. Thank beloved for spending this once again with the community of Holy Cross. RIP: We announce with sad hearts the passing on of mam Ade-laide Matima who passed away during the Holy Week peacefully in her sleep. The funeral arrangements are under way as the family awaits the arrival of mam Adelaide’s eldest son from the US. Kindly keep the family in your prayers during this difficult time of their loss. The Parish Office will communicate the funeral details as soon as they are made available. LENTEN COURSE: We will continue with the remaining topics after Easter so that we cover more ground on Anglicanism, who we are, the symbolism used etc. All these Sessions take place in Church at 10am on Wednesdays. All are welcome to join us.

HCMG: To all HCMG members and all interested men, we are having a quick meeting after the service at the garden today after the service. You are also reminded to join us at our Relaunch next Sun-day the 22nd April 2017 starting at 09h00 at Nyovane’s Residence. CONFIRMATIONS: The Confirmation classes will resume next Sunday the 23 April at 8am in Room 3. If you have not collected your Training Manual make sure to see the Rector for your copy.

BAPTISMS: Applications for the next baptisms are now closed. The preparation classes start next Saturday the 22 April 2017 at 2pm in the Church. Parents and god-parents should attend these classes that are mandatory to them. Once again remember these classes and baptisms are for the members in good standing at Holy Cross Anglican Church. ALPHA: On Saturday the 20th May 2017, The Alpha team will be hosting "Challenging Lifestyle" Course. This will be in a form of a hike in Walkerville, near Bosco Centre. Cost per person is R170 (the amount includes transport and meals for the day). EASTER SPRING CLEANING: We express our sincere gratitude to the parishioners who came to help with the cleaning yesterday to make sure our environment is worthy of a place where worshipping the risen Lord takes place.
