HEARING DATE: April 13, 2016

BACKGROUND The following retiree/beneficiary has submitted a request for a Financial Hardship Hearing before the PFRS Board, claiming that the recovery of the overpayments for certain Holiday Pay and Shift Differential Pay (“SSD Pay”) identified in Board Resolutions 6866, 6819, and 6825 will cause an undue financial hardship.

RECOMMENDATION Based on staff’s analysis of the information provided by the Member, and the other information available to the System, the Plan Administrator recommends that the PFRS Board deny the Financial Hardship Request because there is no information to support the existence of a financial hardship. Please note that the member declined to provide any financial information supporting the hardship claim.
