Great News!!! SEMC Has been renewed for another school year! We will be meeting this summer, throughout the
2012-13 school year, and the 2013 Summer.
Opening Problems
In your packet of handouts (behind the agenda), you will find three problems for you to consider as you arrive and have breakfast. Choose at least one of the problems to solve.
You may work with others on the problems. Hopefully, all three problems can be solved by your table group.
We will debrief and discuss the problems about 9:45.

Square Areas
StationsYou have received copies of 8 station learning
activities. Stations 1—4 pertain to 6th grade KCAS. Stations 1A—4A pertain to algebra one KCAS.
Choose a partner for your station work. Since some of the content is high school and some is middle school, it might be good if one in each pair is a middle school teacher and the other is a high school teacher.
StationsYou will be assigned your first station to complete.
After that, you may travel to any other station you choose that is not occupied by another pair of teachers. You will have about 90 minutes to complete your station work.
Please complete all stations 1—4 and at least 3 out of stations 1A—4A.
At about 11:30, we will begin discussion and debriefing on the station work.
Feedback for the Day
Please complete your Sounding Boards. You can complete any or all of the statements you see inside the shapes.
If there are still questions you had as you completed your reflections from each segment of the day, please feel free to record those questions on the back of the Sounding Board.
