^HALLDALE SCHOOL PTA APPROVES FIRST YEARLY BUDGET, GIVES RUMMAGE SALE
Approval of its first yearly^Dlstrlct P.T.A. were Mrs. H. T.budget was voted by the newly organized Halldale ave. school P. T.A. at Its Thursday meeting.
Don Wblf and composed of Mes- dames E. G. Spratt, Bob I^enton, E. Slmerley and Leslie Smith had been appointed to draw up a proposed budget for submis sion to the membership.
Main speaker was the Rev. Paul Penner, who will give the church's side of a P.T.A. thome, "Cooperation in Home, School and Community."
Other speakers were Mary Lf Eggelston, district director for the Los Angeles Welfare asso ciation, and a Community Chest representative.

Six members attended the first fall meeting of the Lomita-San P^- Oro-'councll, held at the Fifteenth St. school in San Pedro Tuesday. They were: Mrs. Amanda Ron well, principal; Mmes. M. Bur t<n, H. T. Seaman, president; L. L. Powell, E. M. Bernardin an:l Don Wolf.
ELEMENTARY P.T.A. PASSES ON MOTION TO FORM COUNCIL
Members of the Torrance Ele mentary P.T.A. were shown a Community Chest film at their first meeting Thursday.
Under the president, Mrs. El mer Moon, a motion was passed to form a new P.T.A. council in Torrance.
Miss Nancy Ann Whyte played two piano selections and Mrs. Grace Wright, member of the Board of Education, and A. P. Beardsley, school principal, wore introduced.

Connie Jean Kulp, 918 Amapo, celebrated her eighth birth
day at a lovely party in her home Saturday afternoon.
After games and entertainment the children were taken to Toi ranee park where Connie cut a musical birthday" cake.
