Ease of operation was paramount in the design of the new TH360B. The single joystick, withits intuitive, modulated, hydraulic functions, and the new Cat electronic machine informationdisplay are designed to maximize operator efficiency.

Ease of Operation

Joystick Control. The joystick allowsthree simultaneous boom functions andincorporates a unique slider switch.

The joystick also operates the auxiliaryhydraulic function and allows the optionof a second auxiliary service for the useof work tools that require more than onehydraulic service.

Hydraulic System. The Cat ElectroHydraulic system allows all three boomfunctions to be operated simultaneouslyand proportionally. This enables preciseplacing of loads in challengingapplications.

Auxiliary hydraulic functions areavailable on the joystick to allowoperators to utilize more complexwork tools.

A continuous flow auxiliary hydraulicsupply is available for operating toolssuch as pickup brooms that requirecontinuous flow for long periods of time.

Integrated System. The Caterpillarexclusive integrated managementsystem allows the engine, transmissionand hydraulic systems to operate withmaximum efficiency, control andproductivity.

Flow Sharing. Three simultaneoushydraulic functions are achieved usinga full flow sharing hydraulic valve.A load sensing variable displacementpump allows full hydraulic power evenat low revs.

Lift Height. The TH360B can effectivelyand quickly place bricks, roofingmaterials and trusses to a maximumheight of 13.5 m (44 ft).

Reach. Job site obstacles presentchallenges demanding a machine toplace loads at greater distances —the TH360B delivers.

Maneuverability. The TH360B offersexcellent maneuverability, due to itstight turning circle and its three differentsteering modes.

The TH360B has 48 degree axle steeringangle and no rear tail swing, allowingit to work productively and safely inconfined areas.

Steering Modes. The TH360B offersthree steering modes (two wheel, craband circle steer) to allow an operatorto easily position the machine.Steering modes are selected by asingle three-position rocker switch.

High Torque Rise Engine. The Cat 3054EElectronic engine is U.S. EPA Tier 2 andEU Stage II compliant. While continuingto deliver maximum performance itfeatures improved timing, reduced smokeand exceptional service improvements.For improved sound characteristics,a venturi tailpipe has been packagedinside the engine enclosure. The coolingsystem has been designed to work in themost challenging conditions. Electronicengines deliver:

• Improved low idle performance

• Improved fuel consumption

• Improved cold start

• Increased diagnostic and securitycapability

Transmission. The TH360B hasa purpose designed Caterpillarfour speed forward, three speedreverse powersyncro transmission.

Axles. The TH360B is fitted withCaterpillar planetary reduction axleswith four wheel braking.

For improved machine performance indifficult conditions, a differential lockis available (front axle).

Power TrainCaterpillar engines, axles and transmissions give you the quality power train that you expect.

Quick Coupler. An IT interface is standardon the B-Series. It is available in botha manual and a hydraulic version.

For optimum versatility, machines canbe equipped with the hydraulic quickcoupler, allowing the operator to quicklyand easily change non-hydraulic worktools without leaving the cab.

Hydraulic Services. Machines can beequipped with Auxiliary Hydraulicservices, allowing the use of hydraulicallyoperated work tools. Three optionsare available:

• One auxiliary hydraulic service atthe boom head

• Two auxiliary hydraulic servicesat the boom head

• Continuous hydraulic flow

These auxiliary hydraulic servicesare available as an option on theB Series through the MerchandisingArrangement (MA) structure.

Work Tools. A wide range of worktools are available to meet most jobsite applications.
