City of Logan Demographics
• The City of Logan is currently the 8th most populated LGA in Australia.
• Significant population growth over the next 20+ years.
• Home to more than 320,000 people from more than 217 different cultures.
Disability
5.6% or over 17,000 people in Logan in 2016 reported needing help in their day-to-day lives due to disability.
11.2% or over 26,000 people in Logan provide unpaid assistance to someone with disability, long term illness or old age.
2,800 people in Logan work in the disability sector which is expected to increase with the roll out of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
That’s a total of 15% or 46,000 people directly impacted by services, programs, activities and access to information provided in the City of
Logan.

Cultural Diversity
In 2016, 82,706 people, or 27.3% of the population living in the City of Logan were born overseas.
8,911 people who were able to speak another language in 2016, reported difficulty speaking English.
15.9% or over 48,000 people in Logan spoke a language other than English at home in 2016.
Between 2011 and 2016, the number of people who spoke a language other than English at home increased by 12,806 or 36.2%.
