It used to be that Spas and Resorts were likely to put their logo on a bottle with the name of the product and just the aroma. Things started to change a little when Spas either created their own signature fragrance or used our proven stock aromas and simply put their own name on it. Recently the expansion of creativity and an awareness of a focus that promotes their own brand has become a trend as well. If your question is: What’s best? We would answer that with...it depends.

If you are a Spa with an international or even national following we would likely say, look no further than your name, you have already made a statement and it is your signature.

If you are looking to strengthen your brand and you want to bring the best of you, what is the best of you? Are there environmental features unique to your location that we can use as a springboard? What is the focus of your spa, and how do you carry through with that theme?

Is there a word or a slogan that can be used to inspire and make a statement? Is there a sculpture or painting that represents your focus or is iconic to your property? Bath Salt: For the shower, pour a small amount of bath salt on the perimeter of your shower, allow the steam and the water to o�er you aromatherapy and allow the salt crystals to detoxify your feet and soften dry, rough heels. Your bath salt can also be used as a scrub by either combining it with bath gel for a cleansing scrub or massage oil for hydrating. You may also soak in your salt for complete detoxi�cation of your skin, especially a�er a cold or a�er exercise.

Brand Identity: Make an Impact

Merchandising: Does your aroma represent a fruit, herbs or plants? If it does, for instance, represent oranges, lavender and Rosemary, three simple vases filled with each could serve as a beautiful backdrop for your retail products. Ask a Ready Care Representative for merchandising suggestions from our marketing team, we love to help!

Treatments: Treatments that reiterate your aroma can make a huge impact on your sales. Here are a couple of examples of custom treatments we offer and can fine-tune for your needs.

VIP gifting: Brand identity can also be financially rewarding: Look no further than having your hotel rely on you for VIP gifting.

Room Drops: When a group comes to the hotel, are your private label products being offered to them as a room drop? What if they received a temple balm and a custom card with the client’s logo that said, “Sleep well” and gave the following instructions on how?

Application: On warm, clean skin apply balm to temples in a circular motion, repeating for approx. 1 minute for maximum results.

Now apply to the base of your neck, under your nose and on each wrist. Now lie back, lay a warm towel on your eyes, falling over onto your temples for maximum absorption and results. We appreciate you and we want you to feel good!

Internet: If someone has stayed at your property, they have great memories. Put your private label on your web page and allow them to order products to bring them back...our goal for you would be retail sales and then to literally “bring them back”

Showers and Vanity: Feature your aroma in your showers and on your vanity for both enhanced presentation and an alluring aroma to fill up the room.

From beautiful tubes or bottles to our green ecoeclipse in-room presentation, offering your signature brand in your rooms is like handing out samples to people who are guaranteed to try the products. 80% of Hotel guests use one or more of the products (hotelbusiness.com).

Begin with a dual sponge cleansing with botanicals and vitamins. Next a warm oil presented in a slow dip method followed by a gentle massage to complete its application. A cool salt is then dusted on the body and an invigorating scrub follows. Warm infused towels remove the detoxifying salt and the treatment concludes with an application of body butter and a cool body aroma mist. Feet are then cleansed and a soothing mist is applied to the top.

A power stretch with a twist. Finding a guest’s active range of motion, the therapist will push slightly beyond what the person could do on his or her own. This treatment offers flexibility incre-mentally, adding two or three degrees with each repetition. With the client in a swimsuit, a warm toning cleanse with minerals and vitamins is applied to the body. Upon completion of move-ment when the muscle is meant to relax, a mint natural butter is applied to each area, leaving it soothed and toned. This treat-ment is competed with a gentle massage to reiterate benefits. A full massage can be added if time is extended.

After they have tried it, offer a card in the room that tells them where to purchase it. Can they call room service and have it delivered? Do you offer a couple of kits in the room? Can guests who are short on time call a number, charge the products and have them delivered?

Regional Vice Presidents: Our Regional Vice Presidents are former Spa Directors, Massage Therapists and Estheticians. We have two RVP’s who are FIDM graduates with vast experience in merchandising and all our reps live in or near their territories. Our team is well educated, professional and has its finger on the pulse of the industry.

Inside Sales Representatives: Your in-house Spa sales team works to communicate with you to assure a smooth purchasing process. They are well-versed in stock items, cost-effective shipping methods, and will act as your advocate in taking each of your orders to fruition. To Place an Order: We have staff whose complete focus is receiving and entering orders. Orders don’t sit on desks at RCI, they are entered, inventory is checked and we are in touch with the client when there is a change or a question. New Item Needed? The Purchasing Department does price compar-isons to make sure we are getting the best price and using our combined purchasing power to get the economy of scale. In addition, they are looking at new items and searching for the best quality and price.

Private Label: Our marketing team of four can design a look for your showers and vanities, and offer you a custom promotion to launch it!

Marketing: We offer high resolution photos of our stock items as well as private label. We create sales booklets for groups or VIP gifting. We offer marketing promotions as well for all our branded items and promotional support on private label.

Silkscreening: Our in-house silk screening department will take that private label and silkscreen it on bottles, they will also apply a layer of epoxy over the silkscreen to protect it against wear and tear.

The atmosphere in a spa is a broad combination of things and in today’s world. Look not further than yelp to point out a few good and bad things.

“My time at the spa was amazing but the tea in the respite room was bad” “what the spa lacked in appearance, it more than made up for in massage performance” In a time when everything you do can be reviewed, what are you doing? Here are a couple of significant areas where we bring our best to the table.

When they open their locker, what is waiting for them? I assure you on the first touch of a Zendal’s robe, you will realize it is soft and yummy. Once they slip it over their shoulders they will notice that while lightweight, it’s snuggly, and immediately they will feel, well....well, to be exact, because it’s soft, comfortable, and it smells so good, “Hey, did someone spritz your signature scent on this robe when they put it in the locker?”

So the robe is on, and now they slip into the sandals. The logo is on the top as a visual reminder to them of where they are! The quality is apparent and their feet feel comfortable and safe.
