Our solutions facilitate users in rural and urban areas to extract and filter underground water,

making it potable and free from bacterial contamination. After satisfying all pre-requisites to

manufacture quality pumps as per specifications of Bureau of Indian standards we have

received the BIS and UNICEF certifications and started with manufacturing of pumps in support

of the Government of India’s programmer for the provision of clean water to rural areas.

Mr. Ajit Bhandari – Director

Ajit Bhandari is the founder and director at Span Pumps. Belonging to a business family and

with an engineering degree in Mechanical field he has a strong command in the technical

department of the Company. With a passion for excellence in work and attention to details, he

is a great leader and inspiration to all Span members. He is a family person and enjoys playing

table tennis.

Mr. Pritam Bhandari - Director - Marketing and Exports

With an engineering in Computer Science and MBA in International Business, he is leading the

sales and marketing team at Span Pumps. With strong man-management skills and

communication skills, he is a great team player. He is a social person and enjoys sports and

travelling.

Mr. Nikhil Bhandari - Director - R&D and Projects

With an engineering in Electronics and Instrumentation and M.Sc. in Technology

Entrepreneurship, he is leading the R&D and projects team at Span Pumps. With strong multi-

tasking skills and management skills, he is a great team player. He is active person and enjoys

exploring new technologies and travelling.

SOLAR DUAL PUMPING SYSTEM The Solar Dual Pump is an innovative pump devised to utilize the power of the sun during the day and act as a normal hand pump when the solar energy is not available, hence assuring uninterrupted water supply. The system consists of a submersible pump which runs on power generated from the photovoltaic solar cells and is suitable for use on bore wells with 100 mm (and above) diameter up to 80-90m depth. In practice a solar array is installed near the bore well. A submersible pump powered with DC motor is installed below the hand pump cylinder. The pump is connected to a storage tank and the collected water is dispensed through a stand post. This system can also be used on other water sources such as open wells or tanks. Salient Features Both the submersible pump and the hand pump

cylinder share the same riser pipe hence reducing the cost of drilling.

Unlike other solar pumps, the Solar Dual Pump operates without batteries and inverter. During overcast conditions or at nights, the users can pump water using the traditional manually operated hand pump hence ensuring uninterrupted supply of water.

There are no recurring expenses, as the solar energy is free.

Built-in safety features including overflow sensor, dry run sensor and automatic switch on-off features enhance the life of the system.

Operational & Maintenance costs are very low. Solar conversion kit for any hand pump.
