COURSE OBJECTIVES
This course is designed to help students acquire language proficiency at the intermediate
level while reviewing the grammar foundations attained in Spanish 101, 102, and 201.
Because many of our students want to use the language to enhance their career
opportunities and to communicate with Spanish speakers this course addresses this
concern in three ways:
A. It introduces and practices SELECTED GRAMMAR STRUCTURES and useful
VOCABULARY to reinforce the development of reading and writing skills.
B. It gives students the opportunity to interact with materials in EVERYDAY
situations stimulating conversation about topics that deal with global concerns.
C. It presents different aspects of contemporary HISPANIC CULTURES providing
awareness and appreciation of the rich legacy and the ethical values of this
culture.
