Step into the Iglesia de SantaMaría la Mayor, a church commissionedby Ferdinand and Isabella in 1485. Thechurch, which was built on the site of amosque, wasn’t completed until the17th century, so the architecture com-bines Gothic, Renaissance and baroqueelements as well as vestiges of itsMoorish beginnings.
