We used a fruit rollup as the Golgi body because it look like a Golgi body if you fold it up.

The Golgi acts as a post office. It packs useful materials and transports them to other parts of a cell

The nucleus was a peach pit because it is in the center and protected by outer layers. The nucleus is like a brain, it controls all things in the cell.

Lysosome

We used an m’m as a lysosome. We used an m’m because it looks similar to it. A lysosome’s function is to break down materials.

Nucleolus

We used the peach as the nucleolus because it had a pit in it that would work as a nucleus. The purpose of this is to protect the nucleus.

Rough ER

We used sour gummy worms because the sour powder is rough like the shell of the rough ER. The rough ER makes proteins.
