(1)Overview
Back Ground In recent years, the use of satellite data is increasing more and more in order to secure resource energy, to tackle climate change and various global issues. Satellite data and software are expensive for developing countries, and remote sensing and GIS experts are limited, so it is difficult situation to utilize satellite data in developing countries.
Meanwhile, as free satellite data and open source software are now accessible, we have started capacity development program in developing countries since FY2012 to promote space industrialization.
ParticipantsGovernment officers, Private sectors and University researchers
