1900-1926March 24,1900-The scientist Tsiolkolsky started testing rockets.

August 10,1914-The scientist Goddard patented the 1st rocket.

March 16,1926-Goddard launches the 1st successful rocket.

1930-1957October 3,1930-V-2 spacecraft

was made. February 1, 1944 –V-2 spacecraft

left earths atmosphere.September 9, 1954- Viking

spacecraft left earths atmosphere.October 4,1957-Soviet satellite,

Sputnik, became the 1st manmade object to orbit Earth.

1961- 1971November 21, 1961- Soviet Yuri

Gagarin becomes the 1st space traveler. The Redstone rocket lifted.

May 11-25, 1967- Photograph of the moon taken by Lunar Orbiter.

July 16 -24, 1969-Neil Armstrong was the 1st man to walk on the moon. (U.S.)

July 31, 1971- 1st space station ,Salyut 1. Mariner 9 took pictures of Mars. (U.S.)

1972-1981 1972-Apollo 16 take pictures of Earth.

1973-America launches the Space Station.(U.S.) 1st U.S. space station launched.(U.S.)

December 19, 1979-Skylab shows the image of the Sun`s corona.

April 12, 1981-The 1st re-usable shuttle, Columbia was launched.

1986-1998February 19, 1986-Mir space station

launched.April 24, 1990- Hubble telescope

launched.October 18, 1995- Galileo sends back

photos and data about Jupiter's composition.

December 4, 1996-Mars pathfinder landed on mars and released the “Rover.”

1998- 1st modules of the international space station launched.
