• 1990 - 20 Students attend from the W. Va. School for the Blind in Space Academy

• 2011 – 148 students from Ireland, St. Lucia, Hungary, and Canada in 6 Different Programs

Learning Outcomes are completed each year for the Delta

Gamma International Sorority Scholarships

• 64% used optical devices/technology to gain access to

information

• 100% experienced situations that encouraged self-

esteem, self-advocacy and self-confidence through team

building, high expectations and an accessible environment

without obstacles.

• Ruth Meissen’s (IL TOY 2008) art class will be fundraising for a yearly scholarship for a SCIVIS student each year.

• Hungarian Teacher representative from ISC 2008, Laszlo Bacsardi, called a 20th year ISC Hungarian reunion and they are now raising money for a Hungarian student to attend SCIVIS 2010.

ROLE of the Teachers

• Paul Minton, Honeywell teacher from Switzerland (2008) raised $3400 USD for students to attend SCIVIS 2010, from a bicycle road race. A student from St. Lucia attended as a result. Extra money assisted students from Israel. SCIVIS 2012 - $1630.00

• In 2011, Paul sent additional monies. Christie, a student from St. Lucia attended as a result. With everybody working together many things happened for Christie.
