Paul, The Family Man37-year old Paul Brunson, a proud Christian, is happily married to Jill (for twelve years). They met as college students at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Jill is his business partner and together reside in Washington D.C, U.S.A with Kingston, their three year old son. The Brunson family’s newest addition (another son) will make his entry at the end of November 2013.

The former investment banker comes from a long line of nuclear family structure dating as far back as slavery. Paul is proud of his maternal Jamaican heritage and ‘plugs’ Jamaican favorites such as ackee and saltfish, coffee and Red Stripe beer every chance he gets.

Paul C. Brunson, The Jamaican StoryPaul is connected to Jamaica through his mother, Pauline Brunson (nee Lewis), and his grandmother who was raised in Keith, Discovery Bay, St. Ann. Pauline later migrated to the United States of America where she met and married Curtis Brunson, an American from South Carolina. Paul, along with Jill, paid homage to his maternal roots by visiting the Keith community during a recent trip to the North Coast. As a child Paul would visit the city of Kingston to see his grandfather. The outings to the ‘big’ city inspired Paul, coupled with stories told by his grandfather about the city, so much so his firstborn bears the name (Kingston). Brunson’s visit to Kingston, Jamaica on Sat., Nov. 2 will have special meaning for many reasons including: -

1. He will be re-discovering the place seen as a young child. This means Nov. 2nd will be Paul’s first trip to Kingston as an adult!2. It will be one of the final overseas trips (a world wide tour) before welcoming his second son (end of November 2013) and before returning to a hectic Christmas/New Year; and3. A special opportunity to give thanks at his 2013 Thanksgiving family dinner;

Paul, the PhilanthropistPhilanthropist Paul was also honoured with the JAMPACT* Impact Award in New York City on June 29, 2013 for cofounding and chairing a foundation that focuses on school rehabilitation in the U.S. and Jamaica (Keith town in Discovery Bay, St. Ann, the birthplace of his mother and grandmother).
