ITINERARY:Day 1 ~ Fly from USA to Rome Today you fly from the USA on your overnight flight to Rome.

Day 2 ~ Arrive Rome - Check into hotel Upon arrival in Rome you are transferred to the first-class Domina Capanelle Hotel (or similar) for one night. Welcome dinner is included.

Day 3 ~ Travel to Sorrento Breakfast at the hotel. This morning enjoy a tour of Rome. You’ll easily get a textbook glimpse of Rome, from the famous ancient ruins to the Basilica of St. Peter (a place that has more artistic styles represented in it than some museums). Then travel to Sorrento and check into the first-class Hotel Villa Maria (or similar) for a leisurely 11-night stay. Enjoy your dinner this evening.

Day 4 ~ Sorrento Sightseeing Tour Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will enjoy a sightseeing tour of Sorrento. The main square in Sorrento is Piazza Tasso from here you can find all the main attractions, such as the cathedral, Palazzo Correale and Museo Correale, the park in Villa Comunale (which has amazing views of the coast), Chiesa di San Francesco, as well as Corso Italia, the main shopping street. The balance of the day is at your leisure. Dinner is included.

Day 5 ~ Sorrento at Leisure - Optional Tour to Pompeii & Mt. Vesuvius Breakfast at the hotel. The day is yours to do as you please. Legendary Journeys is offering an optional tour to Pompeii & Mt. Vesuvius. Highlights will include a stop to enjoy the awe-inspiring sights of one of Europe’s greatest live volcanoes, Vesuvius! Then to Pompeii where time stopped in 79 AD when the Vesuvius eruption totally destroyed it. On the included visit you can see the luxurious villas, temples, theater, and forum, even human and animal bodies perfectly preserved by volcanic ash. Dinner is included.

Legendary Journeys is offering an optional tour to Isle of Capri & Blue Grotto Cruise. The Isle of Capri is one of the most exquisite locations of Italy. Cross the blue sea to Capri. This legendary island, surrounded by rose-tinted rocks, has incredibly beautiful coves of translucent blues and greens. The town, with its pretty piazza, maze of streets,

fashionable boutiques, and smart restaurants is a mecca for the jet set. Blue Grotto is tucked away on the Isle of Capri. The name Blue Grotto is derived from the shimmering azure water’s hue which is the richest and most luminescent visitors could ever see. Dinner is included.

Day 10 ~ Amalfi Coast Tour Breakfast at the hotel. Today, enjoy a tour of the breathtakingly beautiful Amalfi Coast. Amalfi is a picturesque seaside resort that has the most vibrant, typical Italian atmosphere, an ideal climate, breath taking views and unique natural beauties. Amalfi Coast has a mixture of history and nature, all to discover, from the Cathedral of Amalfi, to the villas in Ravello and the numerous churches built during the historical period of Amalfi’s Republic. Day 11 ~ Sorrento at Leisure - Optional Tour to Caserta Cassino Palace Breakfast at the hotel. The day is yours to do as you please. Legendary Journeys is offering an optional tour to Caserta Cassino Palace. Caserta is known As the “Versailles of Naples” because of the Royal Palace built Here by the Bourbon King, (Charles III) in the 18th Century. The enchanting palace overlooking the huge square is one of the most sumptuous buildings of its kind in Italy. After the splendor of the Royal Palace, we make our way to Monte Cassino to the famous Abbey, which was founded by St. Benedict of Norcia. During the Second world war the Abbey was completely destroyed and has since been faithfully restored to its former glory, with even the original frescoes and mosaic pieced together again. Day 12 ~ Salerno Tour Breakfast at the hotel. Today, enjoy a tour to historic Salerno. In medieval times Salerno was the world capital of medicine. In more modem times Salerno is best remembered for the Allied troops landing on its beaches, during the second world war. Dinner is included.

Day 13 ~ Sorrento at Leisure - Optional Tour to Ischia Island Breakfast at the hotel. The day is yours to do as you please. Legendary Journeys is offering an optional tour to Ischia Island. This mountainous island, volcanic in origin, lies off Capo Miseo; it has a high indented coastline and was a holiday resort and a spa town as early as the Roman times. Its mild climate, the beautiful landscape and its therapeutic waters are the reason of the continuous success of the Ancient Roman Baths. Dinner is included tonight.
