Tour Rock Town Distillery, Arkansas’s first “legal” distillery since Prohibition. Help bottle their award-winning whickeys, gin, rum, vodkas and flavored moonshines, and TAKE HOME a free bottle. Depart hotel Arrive at The Old Mill - The oldest remaining structure from “Gone with the Wind” (seen in opening credits). This is a good place to ease into the day. Leave The Old Mill Tour the Empress of Little Rock – they host a British High Tea and teach British etiquette.

Lunch at The Empress of Little Rock - described by the National Register of Historic Places as the best example of ornate Victorian architecture in Arkansas. Arrive at MacArthur Museum – General Douglas MacArthur was born in Little Rock. Originally an arsenal building, the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History was created to interpret our state’s military heritage from its territorial period to the present. Arrive at Little Rock Zoo Arkansas’s largest and only accredited zoo. Home to the beautifully restored and one-of-a-kind “Over the Jumps” carousel (only working carousel to feature an undulating track). While you are there, enjoy the Laura P. Nichols Penguin Pointe and Cheetah Outpost exhibits. Leave Little Rock Zoo Arrive at hotel to freshen up and dress for Marlsgate Plantation Home Depart from hotel for Marlsgate Plantation Home Arrive at Marlsgate Plantation Home for dinner and tour. Originally the Dortch family farm, this stately Greek Revival structure sits on the shores of Bearskin Lake and gives a glimpse into the Old South. Leave Marlsgate Plantation Home Arrive at hotel

Depart from hotel Arrive at Heifer International. Visitors can learn about Heifer’s mission to end hunger and poverty in the world, as well as its headquarter’s LEEDTM (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum certification and how that ties into Heifer’s commitment to sustainable practices. Tour Clinton Presidential Center in downtown Little Rock. The Center’s permanent collection includes an exact replica of President Clinton’s Oval Office, the presidential limousine, and a timeline with exhibits representing each year of Clinton’s presidency. The Center hosts outstanding temporary exhibits every year. Leave Clinton Presidential Center Lunch in the River Market District (on your own) – Located in the heart of downtown Little Rock, the River Market offers an exciting mix of unique shopping, dining, galleries and night life, all on the southern bank of the Arkansas River. It is very pedestrian-friendly, and is served by an old-fashioned electric trolley. Arrive at Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site and Visitor Center. As the nation’s only operating high school within a National Park, it is recognized for the role it played in the 1957 desegregation crisis. The center features interactive exhibits and tells the story of the Little Rock Nine’s bravery. 2016 marks the National Park Service’s 100th anniversary, and Central High is part of a nationwide Centennial celebration.
