Hello Everyone,

The year is coming to an end, good riddance to 2020. Luckily, we

have had an extraordinary couple of weeks, all the boats are out of

the water and everyone did an exceptional job cleaning up after their

self this year. While winter hasn’t come yet, it will come and go, and

we will be ready to put the boats back in the water before we know it!

This time of the year is also the changing of the guard. I have en-

joyed my time as our Commodore, but it is time for me to move on

and welcome a new era. I believe that Dan will do a fantastic job and

he deserves all of your support.

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome the new and returning

board members. Elections were held on the October 19th and your

2021 board will be the following:

If you are interested in being more involved with the club, I’m certain

we will have several opportunities for you. This is the time of the year

that we will start having conversations with our current committee

chairs and determine what their intentions are for the New Year. If

you are interested in chairing a committee or being involved with a

committee, please contact Dan Moshinski.

Commodore’s Comments

While it has been quiet at the club, we are looking forward to seeing what happens as the pandemic

winds down. At this point we haven’t determined if we will be moving forward with any of our holiday

traditions, Trim A Tree, The Children’s Christmas Party, etc. As soon as the board has a better

grasp on what’s to come, we will let everyone know. I would like to thank Page Hans and Danielle

Schmid for stepping up with Hall and Entertainment. I would also like to thank everyone that helped

with the “Trunk or Treat.”

Remember, you have until December 1st to put in your nomination for the member of the year.

Lastly, I would also like to announce that I have been offered a great opportunity, in my personal life, which allows me to move back to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Sadly, this means I will be mov-ing out of the area by year’s end. I would like to thank everyone for the friendships I have made over the last 10 years. I hope to see you all again. I’m certain you will see me down at the club through-out the year and remember everyone is always welcome to come up and spend some time in Keweenaw. I have a place right on the water with plenty or room. Don’t hesitate to give me a call if you are in the area. See you at the club,

Coleen’s Corner— From the Galley of Coleen Martin Green Chile Squares

A lot of cheese and a little spice! These are perfect for a Packer game!

6 eggs

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon Sambal Oelek or red chili paste

3 cans (4 ounces each) diced green chiles undrained

1-1/2 cups finely shredded Monterey Jack

1-1/2 cups finely shredded sharp Cheddar

Preheat the oven to 300*F (yep, only 300*).

Spray a 12x8-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

In a bowl, beat the eggs. Add salt, pepper and Sambal Oelek; mix well.

Add the chiles with liquid and both cheeses; stir until combined. Pat the mixture down into baking dish. Bake for 45 minutes or until the center is firm. Allow to cool, then cut into small squares to serve.
