Writing/Transition Tasks:

This week, you are going to create a very detailed leaflet all about you for your year 4 teacher(s)! You can email your leaflet to [email protected], bring it to your transition visit or bring it to school in September.

1. Create your front cover. Fold a piece of paper in half like the diagram below, then decide what you want to go on the front! Your front cover should be bright and eye-catching, it needs to include your name and a couple of your favourite things. For example, if Miss Feather was going to design a front cover it would include a cat and some music notes!

2. The first page. This is for your basic information. Fill it in almost like a fact-file and include the following information:

Name:

Birthday:

Hair colour:

Eye colour:

Siblings:

Pets:

Draw a nice border around your information and decorate it with your favourite colours.

3. My favourites. Your next page should include information about all of your favourite things! You could write the information in boxes and make sure you include lots of pictures. For example, you might want to write about your favourite school subject, food, hobbies, animals… anything personal to you! As always, make sure it is colourful and nicely presented.

4. Your final page: Why I am looking forward to year 4. Think of 3 reasons why you are looking forward to year 4 and why. Present them nicely on the page – again, lots of colour and pictures! You may want to include a box at the bottom asking questions to your teacher(s) about the year.

Most importantly, your home learning is to enjoy your summer holidays! We have really enjoyed teaching you in year 3 and hearing what you have been up to while school has been closed. Make

sure you have plenty of time to rest, have fun and be creative. Stay safe and we will see you in September
