Notice:
The officers would like the whole
membership to express your opinions
on what you thought of the format of
last months workshop. Did it
encourage your participation? Did it
hold your interest more (or less)? Did
it provide help for your turning
technique or sharpening issues?
What other type of activity do you
think might be beneficial for us to
introduce into the workshops? Would
you be interested in breaking down a
larger subject like finishing into
smaller parts over several
workshops? Please email Ruth ortalk with one of us with your opinion
or even write it on a piece of paper
and hand it in. We want your input.
Meeting News: The March 17thworkshop of SKW had 27 members and
1 guest (Paul Stagl) attending.
Gordon reported the club treasury
balance to be: Cash - $1,508 with the
Library Fund being $327 of that total.
Old business: There was a
discussion of the possible costs of
revamping the VHS tapes that
were donated to the SKW library
by Al Snell and the currentlyowned SKW library tapes. The
membership voted to spend up to
$100 to get the tapes done.
New Business: Ray Chipman
told members he had a pickup full
of wood to give to members. The
bandsaw blades which members
had ordered were distributed and
the membership got on with fun at
the workshop. A good time was had
by all and lunch was delicious.
Thanks to everyone who brought a
covered dish to help expand the
menu.
