Meeting News: 28 SKW members and 2

guests (John Hayes, Chris Lamer) attended

the March SKW workshop which John

Nicholas called to order at 9:07 am. Then the

guests introduced themselves.

Gordon’s reported $1486 in the treasury with

newsletter were approved.

the woodcarver’s show. Also, the slate of

of the library supply box and asked for its

Conducting a shop tour day was brought up

and voted yes to be held at a separate time

from a regular meeting. Volunteer shops were

made by Dave Clark, Les Hastings, David

Paugh, Harley Pate, John Nicholas, and Jim

Orange.

The membership was informed the elections

would take place in May and new officers

This month brings more people to the shop. I

have actually begun cleaning out the

accumulation and dust. I even mounted a rough

it.

staring a longer and thinner spindle. This

President. Jim and I have discussed this

together. Some of the information we developed

Read through these descriptions of our

leadership positions and my thoughts on the

help available for those who will be stepping into

our leadership positions for the coming year.

We need to have the open position of VP filled

for a year as VP and then a year as President.

We need to get a crew that can share the duties

of equipment, library, and cleanup. A crew

would allow members to participate and still

deal with the issue of kids, jobs, or plans made

by our family.

Please call Jim Orange or myself with any

questions, or see us at the meeting.

Next month’s workshop will be June 29th, 2013.

This is the 5th Sat and NOT the 3rd.

The July monthly challenge is to be some style

of a long thin finial. Be sure and bring yours.
